Stupar would be my guess, though I could see Reynolds moved back to MLB and Telvin starting in his place.

Thats right. He was one of the "veterans" at the rookie camp back in May. I doubt he is anything more than camp fodder. He'll be here to get a paycheck and snap a few to Stephen Morris in the 4th quarter of the fourth preseason game.

This tells me they're not happy with any of the options they've got at C right now, and they're looking at their options.

We should think about trading for a quality backup center somewhere

They have enough backup centers. What they need is a starting center.

No team will trade a current starter. Right now we need to do what we can to find a starting caliber center who currently backs up

Who said this regime was flawless? Stop with the straw man arguments. This regime has done a very good job from what we can tell so far. I believe if Bortles out shines Henne then he'll start. Doesn't matter what they said. Stuff happens.

Quote:I remember wanting Caldwell back in the day when he came out of Alabama, but I was under the impression that he failed pretty hard in Houston.I read for some reason, he never played C there...just G. While they may seem interchangeable to some degree, I remember a big difference in play from Meester as a LG (still cringe when I recall him trying to block Haynesworth) and him at C (best we had at the position).
Maybe if he gets a shot at C-the position he played in college-he can play up to where we thought he could be (because I liked him in college too).
Maybe he could become Caldwell's Jimmy Smith.
I know...hoping against hope.

I think that person is Senderrick Marks.

Marks, without a doubt, was a great signing. But at least he was a starter at some point before he got here and was on an active roster.
A. Caldwell was a street FA like Jimmy Smith.
No matter. Hopefully we found treasure out of the proverbial trash heap.
We sure need some competence at C.

@ryanohalloran: Fisch of first-quarter game plan: "Let's get Marcedes a couple of touches and let's get Marqise a couple of touches." #Jaguars
@ryanohalloran: After Winston Guy's penalty, Gus said he didn't consider benching him for more than the one play. #Jaguars
