No more long runs against us?
It's strange finally being on the good side of trades like this.
"the rich get richer"
For a 6th rounder and a little bit of cap space? WHy not. If He goes back to form he would be a bargin.

Dareus is one of the top DTs in the league when healthy and motivated. He's healthy and he now has to be motivated to play for a D like ours.

As long as we don't get cap tied by this, this is an unreal steal and shores up our run D weakness. Amazing

Campbell is gonna have this guy motivated. You can believe that. Not only does Campbell have 10 sacks, he is the ultimate leader.

I have no doubt about that. In my Brandt Report thread, I quoted a sentence about Calais Campbell helping Dante Fowler stay motivated both on and off the field.

Campbell leads by example. That could be what Marcell Dareus needs.

I don't know how injury-prone Dareus is.

Not if you count the draft day trades for Myles Jack and Cam Robinson.

Jaguars acquire DT Marcell Dareus from Buffalo Bills in exchange for sixth-round selection in 2018 NFL Draft; trade contingent on Dareus passing physical
So how many more 10+ sack games this season now? Insane Dalton better have his [BLEEP] pants on.

I am only worried about the number of rushing yards and scores we give up.
Mr.BIG STUFF!!! Nice!
This is Tom putting his finger print on this D. Tom likes big bodies in the middle
So we are fixing something that is not broke? If Malik Jackson is doing a good job we just need a replacement for Abry Jones.

Yeah ah that's nonsense

Our run D has been broke.  We are 30th in run D
Honestly I’m kinda meh on Dareus. He has been downright lazy the past year and sure the pick is meaningless and he is better than any 6th rounder so in that sense great trade. I’m still baffled by the lack of aggressiveness to acquire a competent Quarterback. Most roster decisions like this become washed out by the fact that this team has no clear direction at the most important position in the sport

I could see it, Jackson hasnt really live up to his contract and isnt really good at all against the run.  Tom wants those big bodies in the middle of the Dline.  Darius reminds me a bit of Stroud

This looks like a move the Pats would make

Abry Jones is more responsible for that than Malik Jackson though, right? Jackson was not signed to be a run stuffer.

He is 6'3 330... pretty sure he will be in rotation with Abry Jones not Malik.
