Every other time a new person finds out that you have a Jamaican background, they'll put on a patois accent and start saying, "ya Mon! Bob Marley! Get dee ganja! Irie!" The first ten times that happens you're confused. The next ten times you try telling people, "I don't know what you're talking about. My dad is not like that." Uncomfortable conversations ensue. Ya think? I don't know about that. It is going to be interesting to see what Howard Schultz decides to do. I truly hope Bernie gets the nomination though and he won't be easy to ignore with the fund raising coffers he has. Trump will smoke a socialist in the general though, especially one with 3 large houses and a million dollar annual income.

I don't wonder in this case. Encouraging empathy towards dark skinned people is not going to be a popular move in Northeastern FL. I said it because it is right, not to make you feel good.

I don't think he wants to be remembered as the guy who handed Trump a second term, and I don't think the Democratic Party would stifle him this time around. He would have beaten Trump in 2016, and I think he stands a good chance of beating him in 2020, especially if Trump continues acting like a spoiled child when the House doesn't bend to his agenda.

You have to remind yourself what we're dealing with here. If there is a policy proposal which doesn't appeal to a middle-aged, middle-class white male, who probably works in IT, then it is clearly part of a socialist plot. I mean, those are the only people who matter, right?
Just remember that the Trump/Fox plan is to scare the old folks. And it's working! have you see the extreme clutching of pearls when AOC is mentioned? When the Green New Deal is mentioned? None of any of this stuff has even started it's way to become legislation. And it will never get there unless severely modified. But you have people diving under their beds in fright.
I guess everyone has to feel superior to someone, so many on here have to assume they are the only ones with true insight.

If you read some of his followers comments on Twitter, it is kind of sad. There are hundreds of people who are setup for auto-pay to his campaign. I can't blame Bernie though, as he is

Bernie and the dems know he will never be elected. They’ll come to an agreement later for his endorsement of the eventual front runner in order to funnel his support and money. He’ll either get a VP nod (doubtful) or some lucrative Clinton-seque under-the-table money deal.
