The Democratic primary is going to be very interesting in my opinion. With them shutting out conservative outlets from debates, how are the candidates going to separate themselves from each other on the issues?

Good description.

Of Byron? Yeah, I guess - but he's always good for a laugh. The kind that says "we're not laughing with you, we're laughing at you."

Byron's Alex Jones Jr. act will keep us entertained during the entire presidential campaign.

They won't. IMO, Beto entering the race strongly suggests that the Democratic Party has already told him that he's their guy. If they hadn't, I think he would have gone after John Cornyn's seat in the Senate instead. Cornyn's approval ratings are such that he's a sitting duck for a Democrat capable of drawing out voters, and Beto would have very likely beat him.

You think Kamala Harris and Bernie Sanders are going to rollover to the likes of Beta?

No way. That guy will be a blubbery mess when asked a challenging non-Vanity Fair question.

Given the MSM lineup for debates, I figure the toughest questions any of them will face is whether it’s boxers or briefs.

You're such a good little boy.

Sounds like you're scared of Beto.

What? Do you know how politics works?

The Democratic Party? Who is empowered to decide for the entire party? Is this some giant conspiracy? (Calling Byron!) All the delegates are in on this?

Maybe that guy from Reuters can fill us in.

No, they will ask the toughest questions possible to create maximum drama and bring in viewers.
They want to sell ads.
However, those questions won't be interesting to someone who has no intention of ever voting for any of them.

If you don't realize that there are about ten people who, together, have near total control over which politicians should be discussed during the ordinary news cycle, and which should be portrayed as fringe candidates, you haven't been paying attention.
An example from 2016: Trump, Jeb, Cruz, and Rubio were deemed newsworthy.  The others were not.  Jeb got all the coverage he could have wanted, but he put people to sleep with it. Rubio and Cruz were a little better, but Trump was the only one who took his coverage and, like a showman, followed the "always leave them wanting more" principle.
Every election cycle plays put like this.  Only three or four candidates get a shot in the media, and one  of them makes the most of his chances.
Right now we have a lot of Democratic candidates, but it's pretty clear that not all of them are going to get their fair share of coverage.

He had an outstanding shot at a Senate seat in 2020 and the Presidency in 2024, and he's given that up for a much longer shot at the Presidency in 2020. Why would you do that unless someone had assured you that it was worth your while, and you wouldn't just be lumped in with the fringe candidates/possible VPs and left hanging out to dry in the debates?

Hubris. Can't be a successful politician without it.
There could be 100 Democrats running for president before it's over, but it's going to come down to two guys, Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden.
Creepy Uncle Joe has absolutely no chance.
Beta betta watch out, else he get RFK'd. The Big E dont take no interlopin'.
