Some of you morons need to put your helmets back on and go back to eating paste.

Yeah, let's let our most consistent pass rusher of the last decade walk for nothing because he's "entitled" or "no that good." For [BLEEP]'s sake.

No he didn't have to play all of the games to get a big deal. And no Yan sitting out for an injury he could barely run on would not have gotten him legally fined nor would it take many millions off the deal.

That is not how these situations operate

You are hilarious, thanks for the laughs.

We haven’t had as consistent a pass-rusher since Brackens. I don’t think he’s easily replaceable at all.

We drafted one and then let him go to LA (Fowler). We signed one in free agency (Cambell). Both were better against the run. Yan is good though but don't break the bank for him. Signing every good player to franchise money results in a salary cap quickly busted.
I think Reggie Hayward would have been very good but he got injured...

Kampman got hut too didn't he?

Ngakoue has a better career pressure rate than Fowler and so does Josh Allen as a rookie.

I find the tendency of fans to lament Fowler’s trade a bit odd. He was inconsistent, slow to develop and outplayed by a lower draft pick during his Jags tenure - not to mention the off-field and locker room drama

Fowler isn't a consistent pass rusher by any stretch of the imagination, even this year when playing well he disappears for weeks

Yannicks was injured to start this year and has otherwise been very consistent as a pass rusher.

He was third in QB hits last year in the entire league. Just behind Aaron Donald and Fletcher Cox.

Because the past is what matters the most, right? we should trade for Adrian Peterson ASAP

Fact - right now Fowler>>>>>>>>Yannick

How conivinient people forget Fowler had a major injury in his rookie season, was he 100% in his second? if it was Yannick people would be saying he played his second season with just one leg  Laughing

Dude, you are hilarious.

Yannick has been inconsistent the whole year and again HIS BEST GAMES HAVE BEEN VS CRAPPY TEAMS AND VS BACKUPS (maybe you will see it this way).
Who played better in the playoffs in 2017? yeah, Fowler.

I'm talking about their careers as pass rushers. One of them is a very consistent pass rusher , the other is not.

Also, why did you delete your thread about Fowler doing nothing? Was looking forward to reading it

Yeah, sorry pal. That’s not a fact. It’s a very ill-informed opinion not supported by facts at all.

Ngakoue played through an injury this year and had a some lackluster games as a result. But it’s easy to look beyond that small window of playtime and see that he is overall a better pass rusher than Fowler.

Ngakoue’s 51 QB pressures vs Fowler’s 24 in 2018 is a clear indicator of which player is a better pass rusher and I’m not dumb enough to think Ngakoue’s pressure rate drop this season isn’t injury related.

Like I said, let's trade for Peterson.

Deny it as much as you want, Fowler just proved to be the better player. Also Yannick is awful at times vs the run, sorry.

Stay in denial though, it is pretty funny.

The person I was replying too was saying Yan is our first good pass rusher since Brackens which is clearly not true. Fowler is a good player too and since he's moved out to LA is as good an edge rusher as Yan and better at holding the edge against the run. Josh Allen is another great example of a good pass rusher we picked and who knows, he may turn out to be a great player in the long run.

So as I said, you can replace these guys, it's not impossible.

You are comparing a young pass rusher to Adrian Peterson.

Please stop and consider how incredibly stupid that is, please

Even the lead leading pass rushers have stretches where they come up empty. Fowler has played well for LA and has proven to be the guy we thought we were drafting. It sucks for us that he didn't develop until he left (and maybe got a little maturity finally).

Fowler isn't comparable to Yannick and Josh Allen as he wasn't a good pass rusher here and both of them are.

He had flashes but never amounted to him being anywhere in league wide rankings among the best pass rushers. Allen is there as a rookie this year and Yan has done it in multiple seasons.

Fowler has been good for the Rams this year for sure.
