True. But... in all fairness to Yannick. The offer had very little to do with money from what was reported initially towards the end of the July. The problem was the length of the contract. The team offered him a short term deal and he seeks a long term deal. So, the man counter offers with WANTING to be here longer.
At some point they need to lock him up for the long term. Campbell won't be here forever. Allen looks promising already but it's always better to have two good pass rushers Vs. one. And he's 24. By the time his long term deal ends he would be close to 28, 29 years old. If he starts to slow down production wise you can let him walk then.
I hope they find a way to keep him. I really do. He may not be getting sacks or hurries every week right now, but this team is gonna need solid talent besides Allen in the future when Campbell eventually retires.
Ngakoue is the first Jaguars player whose jersey I bought since Mojo. I really don't want to see him walk away in FA to another team
