We have Allen! We don't need Yan!

He's only good against the pass, and he's nowhere near as good as he should be!  Needs to play the run better!

Seriously.  You know what's better than having a premier pass rusher?  Having TWO premier pass rushers!
I would pay Yan anything he wanted to keep him in Jax. He is a game changer, ecspecially if we ever decide to keep him and Allen on the field at the same time it will be deadly.

I also think he wants out now. He wants to win, and he knows that wont happen in career here. Our FO and Khan dont care about winning.

I have no idea if Yannick would prefer to play elsewhere or not.  He's probably just treating it like a straight business decision and will take the best offer if it comes to that.  Jags likely tag him before that happens though.

A couple of other things:
Yan and Allen were actually on the field together a fair amount this season.
There was frequent rotation on that line and there were a number of passing downs that saw 91/93/90/41 lined up to rush the passer. Especially after Dareus went down and Campbell kicked inside more often.

The whole "Khan/FO don't want to win" thing is absurd.   They want to win. They just suck at making it happen.

That's how you send your team to hell, overpaying players who are not even great.

Ngakoue disappears in big games, he is far from being a game changer.

So wait. Being 4th in forced fumbles since he entered the league doesn't make him a game changer?

Calais Campbell has 0 sacks in 12 playoff games but was worth every penny

So we all just imagined Ngakoue in that playoff game in Pittsburgh with two tackles for loss, a batted down pass on 3rd down to kill a drive, and a sack on Rothlisberger?

'Cause I'm pretty sure that divisional playoff victory sending us to the AFCCG was a "big game."

Dude will never back off his terrible claim that Yan isn't that good, Fowler is better, and we should let play makers walk away for nothing.
It's pretty ridiculous.

I wouldn't give him anything, but I'd give him the same deal Lawrence/Ford/Clark got last year plus a years worth of inflation.

I think that's about fair. He outperformed those guys in most stats.

And that's why you sign these players sooner rather than later.

Why?
Every year the contracts go up. It’s why the Chiefs are going to sign Mahomes this summer as opposed to waiting until year 6.

And then in the bigger game he went and did absolutely nothing vs New England ROFLMAO!

I am not doing this again, you can read all my posts again.

He had 8 sacks and had his best games vs garbage teams or backups, also he was awful several times vs the run.

And yep, Fowler is better, doesn't matter how much you guys want to deny it, both proved that this season. Fowler (unlike Yannick) has had some of his best games vs the best teams or in games that matter the most.

Oh look. Another feigned incredulous response to being proven wrong for the hundredth time.

Yawn.

This act isn’t helping your “case.”

How sweet would it be to have Allen and Yan on the field at the same time?

Am I the only person that saw them on the field together dozens of times this season?

I mean, Ngakoue had 805 snaps and Allen had 738.  You guys realize they were on the field together, right?
I only ask, because I keep seeing this brought up in multiple threads as if they are only rotating the weak side end position.

Nope. That's why I don't get the Yan and Allen play the same position nonsense. Yeah, we would have Allen if Yan left, but I rather have Yan AND Allen.

So no answer to the New England game? hahahahahahahahahaa

Paying 20+ millions per year for a guy who had 8 sacks in a season (most of them came vs crappy teams? is so smart. You truly deserve next season, enjoy it Wink

Oh, you've been beaten down  and proven wrong on your idiotic  claim of "disappears in big games"  so you have shifted to "he disappeared in this one game vs the patriots."

LOL

Pretty pathetic attempt there, pal.
Have fun moving those goalposts all over the planet!

Oh OK, understood,  I just always dismiss that "but we have Allen" take as utter nonsense from people that don't understand an NFL defense.  You need both, unequivocally.
