Because he's already paid for and Shad doesn't care as long as the stadium is full.

The interim HC isn't going to be a fan favourite. It's a lost season already; the top tier HC will have to wait until the offseason.

Quote:I don't have a problem with the change being made after they're 0-4. Gives a bit of time to make a transition during the bye week. It's a lost season either way. I'm just apathetic at this point.
Transition now. I hate this "wait til the bye week" stuff. You're basically giving up games.

A better coach could have won that game today if he was inserted after the San Diego game. We're giving up wins here so we can have a week to transition.
This is nice and cute to say, but there is no one out there other than Todd Haley and he has a losing record as an HC. Coughlin will be too old. Gruden is getting paid just as much as an NFL head coach for far less work. He is overrated anyway. So, name someone. Who have I missed?

I was on board with firing him after 0-2, especially losing in that fashion. But after deciding to give him more time, now at 0-3, let's face it, there will be no playoffs this year. The team isn't that good to recover from this. So another week won't be a big deal.

McDaniels
If you are hoping a coaching change this early will save the season you are sadly mistaken. Likely, the interim guy won't be much better for obvious reasons. You will have to wait until next year. I know that sucks. That is reality.

And then we rebuild again? Nahh, start the process now. The players can learn on the job, get them one step ahead for next season if anything.
No reason to keep bradley, it would be doing a disservice to the interim coach given the far travel for the London game but at least going into the bye theyd have more time to prepare

Would be okay with that. He's ready for another HC chance. Idk if he will leave the Pats though
Hopefully we fire him next Sunday and leave him in London.

Why wouldn't he want another HC job? That's kind of the goal. The real question is why he (or any other in demand HC candidate) would want to come here?

Didn't look full at all on tv
His first 4 wins in 2013 came when the season was already over at 0-8.

In 2014 he didn't win a game until week 7 against the Browns at 0-7.

In 2015 he won against the Dolphins to make our record 1-1. Then we lost the next four games to go 1-5. The closest we got to a meaningful win that season was the home win over the worst team in the NFL (Titans) to go 4-6.

In 2016 we're 0-3.

Gus is the king of garbage time wins (if such a thing exists).

I think that hes only had back to back wins on 2 occasions, with that string of 3 where we beat a struggling texans team twice back in his first year. And one time last year with one of them being the titans. He rarely wins and when he does they dont string them together in any modicum of consistency
Khan approves of this message. He only cares about London money.
That's one more than I remember.
Was it really meaningful? It was a sloppy slugfest and the Titans were lacking talent.

Not remember the fins game last year when we thought we'd finally turned the corner?

We havent had a winning record (1-0, 5-4, 11-3 etc whatever) since week 1 of 2011. The closest a team is to that record are the Saints who finished the 2013 season with a winning record.

That's over FIVE years since we finished a game with a winning record. FIVE MOTHER%. YEARS.
Les miles just fired, should we hire him right now
