Quote:Here's another scenario. Let's say Bortles is actually injured right now and that's why he looks so bad and goes to IR over the bye.

Does Gus get another extension?
Relax man, he'll get fire either next week or at the end of the season. I don't think you need to worry about him staying around
There is no "if."

Only "when."
Do you know how bad a 12-38 record is? There have been 170 coaches in NFL history who coached at least 50 games, and Bradley’s winning percentage ranks 169th out of those 170. The only coach with a worse record was Bert Bell, who coached the Philadelphia Eagles from 1936 to 1941. And the only reason Bell wasn’t fired is that Bell was also the Eagles’ owner.

How...tell me hOW...can the 'Stache ignore that fact.

Put that in your analytics pipe and smoke it.

Like NYC4jags said....it's not if .....just when.

Eurecka!!!

I've figured out the solution!!! We just need to make Gus the owner!

Counterpoint:

Gus is the owner and Khan is just the Stache front guy!

Makes sense!

It's all coming together now, gentlemen.

Tony khan's analytics don't work on draft day, but throw him in the boiler room of our call center, pushing season tickets, and we got ourselves a gosh dang sold out bank!!!
Are you guys ready to hate Gus even more when he can't win a Wattless division?
Quote:Are you guys ready to hate Gus even more when he can't win a Wattless division?

I hope he's gone before we get a chance to hate him for it.
Quote:Guaranteed? Nah.

If he wins... they'll continue to let him limp through the season.

If we lose... I'd say it's still probably only 75/25 chance.

Staring at 0-4, swapping out a HC for someone on his staff isn't taking us to 10-6 or better.

It is probable Khan and Caldwell take the wait and see approach.

I'll say this though, I don't think anything beyond a ten win turnaround will save Gus at seasons end.

Sad too... I was rooting for him more than most.

And he gets added to my list of Garrard, Gabbert, Gene and Gus....

guys I've defended far too long beyond when everyone else had given up.

Something eery about those 'g' names all of a sudden.
Swapping out the coach may not take us to 10-6 but it will energize the fan base and help sell tickets. And that, is what is important to the Stache.

Well, you'd only hate him for it if you actually expected him to win it, and then he failed. I expect no such thing.

He couldn't win playing a damn near quarterback-less schedule last year.

I expect us to beat all teams in the division twice because we are more talented top to bottom than all of them.

Sweep the division. Finish 6-10. Lose division to the 7-9 tittians.

That may be true, but I feel Gus will still screw it up. I feel that you could give this guy the 2007 Patriots team and he'd struggle to get to seven wins.
Still not fired?

Gus will win in London, blow out fashion, and be signed to a 3-year contract.

Not gonna happen bro. End of season.

Don't give up hope. He may get fired after London during the bye week. I have the confetti and smoke machine on standby ready to celebrate. Fingers crossed.
This sucks!!!

I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted Dave & Gus to succeed. Sad
