Not that he would know, but if this is true, this is horrible, horrible news.
I doubt anyone has safely secured their job for 2017 after 1 ho-hum victory in 2016.

Gus needs to string em together to stay safe imo. He still needs to hit a winning number... 8 at the very least, I would assume.

It was before the victory that he said it.
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA KILL ME

Well I guess we have no other choice than to just root for our players to win games. We aren't getting a HC change, so we have to just suffer through it and hope the talent can overcome poor coaching.

I still think they'll fire Bradley in January.

I still doubt that anyone's job is completely safe.

Jags muster only a handful of wins, heads are a rollin.

And you twits can be joyous, until the new target shows up.

I sincerely hope.

Unless something drastic shifts and we pull out some magical '96 style ending...

I just didn't walk away from watching that game feeling any differently.  Yes, we got the win... barely... but it didn't feel like we had turned a corner or anything... it just felt like the Colts managed to find a way to lose.

I can understand people being more positive today, following a win, but I'm not convinced in the slightest.

To me.. all that win did was push Gus's inevitable firing to the end of the season.  I haven't seen anything from this team in the first 4 weeks that makes me expect more than 3-5 wins, which means another year of misery...

While I hate watching the Jags lose any game... I actually felt some optimism as the Colts were storming back simply because had they finished the job, it would have almost certainly meant the end of the line for Gus Bradley, and we could at least start looking forward and have that renewed hope for the future.

I still think he should be fired today.. Honestly, he won 1 game out of 4 in which we should at the very least be 2-2? He is a joke of a coach. Get him the [BLEEP] out of here. I am happy we won but it would have been worth one more lose if it meant him getting fired.
Quote:Gus should still be fired.

You don't just fire someone on a 1-game winning streak.

What if he were to go on and win another game in October?  This team is on fire !!  With this kicker / punter combo, it's going to be hard to see us an underdog the rest of the season.

Did you not read Omaha's post?  non-divisional games don't matter.

I still say we fire Gus if/when we get lit up by Hoyer again and lose to Da Bears.

I thought we played very well for the first 3 quarters. Still not good enough, but we saw what we're capable of.

I really hope this isn't true.  Bradley has a chance at redemption if he can get us back in this race but I doubt it.
It really doesnt matter if he gets fired this year or not its not going to make us any better

It absolutely could get us better

The Gatorade Jug would be an improvement even.

Scary part is hoyer could do just that....and gussy would nOT get fired.

"We missed some things. Have to clean some things up. Just need to execute better. We'll work on them in practice next week."

On and on ad nauseam.  Sick
