Rotoworld has Blake ranked 30th over Johnny Football and Texans starter Ryan Mallett

so its not that bad I guess..

Bortles should rank #26 for week two. He's simply much better than Carr and Winston while Cousins and Cutler are facing the Rams and Cards respectively. Tyler is facing the Patriots, but I can still see him doing some damage.

Bortles is who we thought he is one of the worst QB in the NFL

Dude, really? He had a bad game with no real help in terms of drops. He made one bad read for a pick six, and looked tight last week. All that I grant you, but you're jumping the shark if you are already giving up on bb5.

A couple things break our way on offense last week and we would have beat the Panthers. Make sure you show up on Monday if we win...

He should probably just retire now and save himself the remaining embarrassment.

I just going by the statistics.  Right now QBR hes is ranked #28th in the league out of 32 QBs. I'm sorry your right it was one bad game I'm sure it will be better against the lowly dolphins

We?
Quote:I love reading your posts because I picture a red-faced fat guy spitting all over himself as he angrily yells out his posts. So great.

Like his old avi that would shake violently with no end.

In about the equivalent of 2 seasons Blaine threw 22 tds and 24ints.

Blake in about 1 season has thrown 12 tds and 19 ints 6 of them returned for tds.

If Blake doesn't want the gabbert comparison he has to improve considerably just to even it out.

He sucks. People don't want to admit it, but he does.

It definitely looks like he does so far. Whatever happened to him at the bye week of last year, he's still not recovered from it.

Did you not see all the Panthers fans going off in here about how they had a top five defense? I don't know if that's true, but that's not a shabby defense he was up against, and things went downhill quickly after Sam Young was forced to enter the game. As for the pick six, did you fail to notice how many qbs have thrown one so far this season? It wasn't just Blake. Several qbs had a miscue for a score from Winston to Flacco to Peyton in both games to Rivers to Romo (pick six was reversed on replay with defender ruled down at the one) to Foles (fumble lost for a TD).

Brett Favre in his second season as a starter threw 24 INTs and 19 TDs.   The next season he had 33 TDs.  Let's at least give Blake a second full season before dumping him on the garbage pile.

top 5 defense is laughable

I thought they had one last year. Am I wrong?

They made the playoffs and got a win for a reason, and it wasn't Cam Newton and the scout team offense around him( other than Benjamin and their TE).

Oui?

Ok bro I hear you but just in the small paragraph look at the names of the QB's Peyton, Rivers, Romo, Flacco. Are we really going to put Blake in that category. The bottom line is you never take top 5 picks on Qb's that are projects like we did, and I believe we will be burned yet again for it. I haven't seen 1 think BB5 has done to make me go Yea hes good. Remember when Justin Blackmon stepped on the field remember how he instant made people better don't see that with Blake.
Blake has thrown at least 5 pick 6's... And has only thrown 12 TDs.

That is a very alarming statistic.

Remember when so many people wanted to start Bortles right off and we told you ok, but you better be prepared to expect a lot of INTs as he learns his craft and you all were like "so what?"  This makes me laugh, I dunno why.

The alternative was going through a year of Henne. I'm fine with the kid taking his lumps, hopefully he learns from them and quits gift wrapping the game to the other team.

I've always been old school when it comes to rookie qbs. I was in the camp that wanted Blaine to sit. Let alone bortles. I'm not in that camp that wanted him to start right away. Sorry to disappoint you but Blake would've barley been starting his second game if it was up to me. But now it looks like we have a shell shocked scared inaccurate qb.
