Yawn.

Let's see how Blake Bortles plays against the Patriots, they have a weak secondary but a good pass rush.  If the line can hold he should have a great game as he can always run for yards too.

Intentionally? Probably not. Have you ever heard of the word dense?

I was quoting a classic gangster movie called Goodfellas. Sorry didn't realize you were 12.

According to the NFL after two weeks into the regular season

Blake Bortles is ranked #17th (40/73, 54.8%, 36.5 g/att, 456 yrds, 6.2 avg, 3TD, 2 INT, 5 sck, 76.1 QB rating)!

Andrew Luck is ranked #31st (26/49, 53.1%, 49 att/g, 243 yrds, 5 avg, 2 TD, 2 INT, 2 sck, 63.6 QB Rating )

Bryan Hower is ranked #32nd (18/34, 52.9%, 34 att/g, 236 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 4 sck, 72.7 QB Rating)

Ryan Mallet is ranked #30th (15/24, 62.5%, 24 att/g, 179 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT, 0 sck, 95.7 QB Rating)

the rookie

Marcus Mariota is ranked #15 (because of the Bucs)

If you based it soley on this season's stats, it would show that Blake Bortles is a better QB than Andrew Luck despite not having as good of an offensive line or receivers!

Quote:I've made it clear I had the jags at 6-10. Some in the local media have them going 7-9. I hoped they would win both of the winnable games to start. Shall I go slower for you. Is there a particular language you'd like to have it translated to you so you can understand?
We've had our discussion but i do agree with your 6-10 prediction.  If we play a decent level of NFL Football this year, we can achieve that.  I do want to know though, not to argue, but what is this beef you have with Coach Gus?  I mean i know he isn't an, in your face, type of coach but what has he done to your kool-aid man?

The Colts O-Line looks really, really bad. That or they played 2 monster defenses(Seems to be the case). I fear the Jets on the schedule now, although if we have Julius Thomas at 100% I think we have a shot.

It's okay.  I understood your point because I've got a translator on this computer that handles gibberish for me.

You answered my question.  You really don't know the difference between what you hope happens and realistic expectations.
How does Blake's mechanics look? I havent been able to really watch full games, but from the little clips here and there he still seems to throw a bad spiral and missing some zip

Are you referring to how wobbly the ball was on his long bombs?

If that's wobblin'...

Blake Bortles
"I don't think you can," Blake responded. "Those guys are some of the greatest that have ever played the game. I'm not playing against Tom Brady, I'm playing against the New England defense and that's all I am worried about and that's all we are worried about as an offense, is how do we execute and put up points on their defense."

The Patriots’ defense is giving up 259.5 yards passing per game (22nd) and 26.5 points per game (23rd). The Patriots have allowed seven offensive touchdowns, which is tied for third-most in the NFL and behind only Chicago (nine) and Tampa Bay (eight).  Patriots are averaging 34 points per game.  The Jaguars will have to throw a lot in order to keep up.

Pats DC Rob Ninkopoo said

“Bortles definitely has a real good command of the offense that Olson is running. I think the controlled passing game along with letting him use his big-arm ability to get the ball down the field has benefited Bortles quite a bit,” Patricia said. “He’s a big guy in the pocket but he’s a very athletic guy. So he’s a guy that can run. He’s a guy that can scramble. He’s a guy that can extend plays. You use it a lot, especially on third down, where he can slip out of the pass rush and either extend the play and get the ball down field or just take off and run. He obviously has the ability to do that, too.”

Just wait til the Patriots play their next opponent, they will say the same things about their QB.

Blake should have a good game but don't take anything the Patriots say as gold. They say the same stuff for every opponent every week.

...then I don't wanna be right!
Week 1 - Blake is Blaine, Mariota is Joe Montana and Winston is the next Vince Young.

Week 2 - Jags have a chance to beat patriots, Mariota is still a rookie and Winston may have a career in the NFL.

Got to love the level headedness of this board.

Not just this board. It's the entire NFL way. Every team. Every tv station. Everywhere.

That pretty much puts your "objectivity" into perspective, does it not?
