Draft picks after Round 1 |

It happens every year: Everybody worries about the first round pick number and totally ignores the fact that it will be different later on. Whatever pick number we get in Round 1, it will not be the same in Rounds 2-7 because of the rotation with all other 3-13 or 4-12 teams. Last year we were one of five 4-12 teams, so after picking Blake Bortles, we did not get the third pick again until Round 6. So what pick numbers are the Jaguars likely to get throughout the draft?
One thing is definite: the Titans and Buccaneers will pick before we do. They have only two wins and weaker schedules. So the highest we can pick is #3 in the first round. If the Jaguars, Jets, and Raiders lose (all are 3-12), that will be the first round draft order and the 4-11 Redskins will be locked at #6. In this scenario, the second round would look like this if no picks are traded:
33. Buccaneers
34. Titans
35. Jets
36. Raiders
37. Jaguars
If we win and the Redskins lose, they will be in our draft rotation. One possibility is simply alternating picks with the Redskins, which would happen if we win and the Jets, Raiders, and Redskins lose. I do not want it to work out that way. Chances are nearly zero percent the Raiders will win at Denver, so winning at Houston will make us pick after Oakland in all seven rounds. But if we lose, we will swap picks with the Raiders or be in a rotation that includes Oakland. The Jets have a much better chance of beating Miami, so we could swap picks with them by beating the Texans. Yes, this is important when talking about the draft order.

Can Bortles be better than Wilson? |

I saw a stat the other day about Wilson, he is the second QB in league history to have multiple games with 300+ yard passing and 80+ yards rushing. Vick was the other.
Is Bortles' ceiling higher than Wilson?

Sen’Derrick Marks: Pro Bowl balloting is [BAD WORD REMOVED] if I don’t make it |

Quote:“If it happens that way, then I say that the whole Pro Bowl voting and balloting is all BS,” Marks said, via Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com. “How do you look at it? Do you look at it as a guy that plays good on a good team or a guy that plays good on what you consider a team that doesn’t have the record? I thought it was supposed to be the guy who plays the best at that position that year. That’s what I thought it was. If it comes out that way, it wouldn’t bother me. It wouldn’t stop the way I play. It wouldn’t hurt my feelings at all.”

Bortles will likely finish the season the most sacked NFL QB |

He's currently been sacked 50 times - 1 sack behind Kaepernick (with less games played), but we have the Texans to play and will probably give up quite a few sacks.
This can't happen again next year, we can't turn Blake into David Carr mk2. They can't keep leaving men unblocked or big DE's against RB's. They need to add more depth to the o-line and keep Blake on his feet.
For comparison, Derek Carr has 21 sacks on the year - almost an entire season. Chad Henne was sacked 16 times in 2 1/2 games.

Playoff teams |

With one week left, these have been clinched so far:
AFC East, FRB, and HFA: Patriots
AFC South: Colts
AFC West: Broncos
Playoff spot: Steelers
Playoff spot: Bengals
NFC East: Cowboys
Playoff spot: Packers
Playoff spot: Lions
Playoff spot: Cardinals
Playoff spot: Seahawks
Next week, Carolina/Atlanta, Cincinnati/Pittsburgh, and Detroit/Green Bay will be "for the division title" games. Other playoff scenarios:
The winners of the NFC North and NFC West clinch a first round bye. Seattle just needs to win to clinch homefield advantage. If the Seahawks lose the Lions/Packers winner clinches homefield advantage. Arizona clinches homefield advantage with a win and losses by the Seahawks and Packers or a first round bye with just a win and Seahawks loss.
Denver just needs to win to clinch a first round bye. San Diego just needs to win to clinch a wildcard spot. The Ravens need a win and Chargers loss. The Chiefs and Texans need help from two other teams.

Isn't this the last year of his contract? Wasn't he lobbying for Arizona to bring in Jerry Sullivan as a WR Coach? Any chance of Khan writing a large enough check to bring the two of them together here in Jacksonville?
Mods, I accidentally started the same topic twice. Could you please delete one?
