Quote:It is the same problems we have seen since Day 1 of the Bradley era.

I understand, but day one of the Bradley era also had a pretty young or mediocre roster.

Still, it's impossible to normalize and compare all coaches on the same footing, so the fact of the matter is without results Bradley will be gone. I just think he has a longer time scale than this year. We are all frustrated but I'd rather take a year or two more of pain if it means our long term foundation is set correctly.
Quote:This is a valid point (except for saying anything positive about fisher). Our staff is definitely learning at the same time as our players. I'm hoping the pain is only short term. We'll see.

Define "short term" in games or seasons.
People defending this monstrosity make me giggle.
I know the Eagles are happy as hell they didn't make the mistake of hiring Gus and Chip Kelly became an option. Dude wouldn't of made it past year one with his abilities. But in friendly Jacksonville he'll get 5 years to torture us.
I'm slightly defending this terrible team because they do seem better than the past 2 years when we struggled to even get positive yards.   I could be totally wrong considering we only won 2 games but I'm like the BCS Committee relying on my eye test. :teehee:

Are you saying that Gus walked into the same situation as Chip Kelly?
Quote:Bradley deserves 3 years, they guy has 7 rookies on offense and a RB who was a QB two years ago

He needs players and young players to get better
Will new players make Gus try to get into field goal range at the end of the first half? Will new players achieve a pass beyond the line of scrimmage? His "keep it close" 3 yard offense is both predictable and easy to stop, and probably is not making the players he has any better. Jags need a new coach and new players. If you looked at trade value, this is a team with a QB and a Defensive line and that's about it. The rebuild is showing major cracks everywhere, bad players coached poorly.

I love how folks keep trying to compare the two situations. Ignorance is bliss.
Quote:Three weeks away from the last game of Gus Bradley coaching the Jaguars.

Maybe it's his fault the players have not developed. Maybe it's not his fault and was just given bad players to develop.

Either way, a change is needed.

Today was a microcosm of Bradley's tenure here.

Missed tackles everywhere. Almost no pass rush. Dropped passes. Poor blocking.

The team literally does nothing well.

Gus Gone.

Lol

The offense has scored 28 points total the last three games

We should change coaches, scheme, and players every year. That is how we fix this. (sarcasm)

You know, I do wonder what Gus' record would be if he was hired on as the Eagles head coach, instead of Chip Kelly.

Although we will NEVER know, my gut tells me he would have a worse record then Kelly, with the same exact team of course.

Jags have to win 3 in a row to improve on last year's record. Think about it...

I'm saying he's not a good coach. Damn the situation.

I think we all know there's no chance of that happening. NONE.

The Jags will finish with a worse record this year then last year.

That's just the way it is.

Hyperbole at it's finest. Bradley is 6-23 as head coach. His record is historically bad.

Well then say that and quit making irrelevant comparisons.

Isn't that the essence of the opposite of "improvement"?

Season...haha. fair point, my definition of short term may be different than others.

Nobody is suggesting that. Coaches get fired after two dismal years all the time. What have we seen in nearly two full years that should lead us to believe Gus is a good head coach?
