Quote:Then don't expect for me to take you seriously. Just became more white noise to my eyes.
That was my point in saying what I said [BLEEP]. I don't care if you take me serious. I don't even know you're name so why should I care about that? Get your white noise vision on buddy.
Are people still drunk off of Gus juice from last weeks freak win, or have you sobered up? It's a fantasy if you still think this coaching staff has what it takes to make this high school team and hang with the big boys. Even the veterans gave up today. But Bill Cower says they play hard...smh.
It's a fantasy to believe that a team with so many rookies and second year players would set the league on fire... There is no substitute for experience, and two off seasons/drafts is not enough to gut a roster and rebuild it to a competitive level...

I'll give Gus credit, he keeps us with the good premium draft picks year after year. Hopefully Caldwell will stop botching our top 3 picks for once in his career.
Quote:This board has officially lost it (no pun intended). Firing Bradley and Caldwell right now would be one of the most devastating things that can happen to our franchise right now. The truth about this team, and this rebuild is that it's going to take at least 4-5 seasons for us to be back in the playoff chase again.

Face facts! We're one of the worst teams in the league right now. We suck. Plain and simple. And we're stuck with one of the least experienced and underdeveloped rosters in the whole league. I agree that some guys like Fisch have to go, but nixing the rest of the coaching staff and management is pure insanity. That's the last thing that a QB like Bortles needs right now, and it can be argued that, that's the main reason why Gabbert failed with all of the coaching and management changes. Gene Smith's poor drafting and FA signings easily set this franchise back by about 10 years. TEN YEARS!

I know that I'm not going to receive much support from anyone else on the board, but it's time that somebody stood up and spoke the truth. Truth hurts doesn't it?
I agree - we should keep on losing and acquiring high draft picks in the hopes that at least some of them will pan out, and we can continue to say "next year" and keep the fans forking out hard-earned money to watch this garbage.

There are a lot of acceptable options between "setting the league on fire" and "being a complete dumpster fire".

Tell that to the Rams..

Mathematically, eventually you're going to hit on at least some of those top 3 draft picks.

They didn't have near the roster gut they we did either...You can make any "example" of any team that you want but when it comes down to a team full of rookies vs season vets, seasoned vets will win every time...

Not with our coaches.
So? ................................................................No.

Youngest team in the league and pitched a shut out today. Experience you were saying, or does Fisher know how to coach a football team?
People seriously underestimate what it means to have an inexperienced offensive line, and then a rookie QB behind them.

We could have every American football coach on staff and working with our guys, and we'd still have crappy results since we've got inexperience and a severe lack of talent on the line.

TRUE! but the point remains, there is no substitute for experience...And by who's definition of "acceptable are you going by?" Mr Khan and Mr Caldwell believe that we are just about where they expected us to be...I believe Mr Khan's opinion is pretty much all that matters
It's not a fair comparison.

Fisher is an experienced coach who knows how to get the most out of his players.

Gus is inexperienced and the staff lacks the experience as well.

You pair up a young team with inexperienced/inept coaching and you end up 2-11.

Mr. Khan is a businessman, his opinion matters as long as he's making money.  When the Jags aren't selling out games, they aren't selling merchandise, etc. then absolutely he's going to make the business decisions that need to be made.

So? We all know Fisher is a good coach, but now look who they played...Washington has dropped 5 straight games and only won 3 games...They played a bottom feeder team

If you can figure out how Gus is responsible for Bortles making dumb decisions, Denard, Shorts and Harbor dropping passes, a young O-line playing like a young O-line and LBs and safeties missing dozens of tackles, then you may be onto something.

I happen to think it's strange to look at all those mistakes and just lay them at Bradley's feet.

Yeah, something's gotta' give. They can't keep making so many stupid mistakes. The majority of them are coming from rookie, second year and undrafted players though - so I'm not so sure it's all coaching.

After watching today's game - I came away thinking the  LB and DB position coaches aren't getting it done in terms of preparing their units to make  tackles properly and consistently. The rest just looked like stupid mistakes by individual players or rookies being rookies.

Maybe it's all on Gus. I don't know  - but it sure seems like blind speculation to assume so IMO.

That is also true...He said in the interview in London he will be patient as long as he sees progress...

The Jags played that same bottom feeder team. How did that work out?
