Dude, if I have to, I'll float further down the street and loot Publix instead..

Leave some deli fried chicken for me.

Ok but ya gotta be quick cause of the flood waters. I'll be behind the counter, speed making my own subs.

Ah! So you are constructing crafts to travel under the water. Clever.   Rolleyes

There's all kinds of treasures under those flood waters. Especially on the westside.. Golden crackpipes.. Need I say more?

Ok, OK ..... I was wrong

Prior to last year Florida had not been hit with a hurricane for 11 straight years. Well last year HolsterHusto decided to buy a house and now here they come left and right...
I picked a great weekend to book a hotel in SW Florida for three nights, huh?

And retail sales. This alarming weather report brought to you by Gate Petroleum, Winn Dixie, and Home Depot.

Exactly.  You've got a lot of retailers advertising on these stations.  They're getting a nice bump in sales any time the talking heads on TV are telling people to buy supplies and be prepared.
My dad made a normal weekly trip to Bjs today...they told him people were standing in line at the door when they opened to get their storm supplies.

Meh, it's not like the stuff that is bought won't be used.  So they get a nice bump this week and the next two a lull.  It all works out for the most part.

One of my best friend's son works for Publix in Tallahassee.  He just texted me to say they've been sporadically out of bottled water, and as they're getting new supplies in they're blowing through a pallet every few minutes.

Happen to know which Publix? Ours was looking good on Sunday night.
This might be a bad one guys. Some models are showing nobody in Florida is safe.
I did my normal annual routine a few weeks back and pulled out my 2 generators and ran them each through a tank of fuel with a load on them, just to make sure that they are ready.  We routinely have plenty of bottled water on hand, though we might pick up a little extra if the forecast models change over the next couple of days.

At this point, I wouldn't be all that concerned unless I lived in South Florida.

Here is the latest track from NOAA.

I don't bother preparing, I just scope out the neighbors who do.  Ninja
