I had a mail in ballot but decided to vote in-person and place it through their scanner myself.  I tore up the ballot that came in the mail and handed it to them in exchange for an in-person ballot.

I was averaging ~ 5 texts per day from the Dem Reps telling me to mail in my ballot and sending instructions and such.  I've never seen any type of constant communication via text messaging ensuring I get to the polls.  My neighbor stated that he was receiving a comparable amount of texts as well.

Based on the 45+ million people that already voted, it doesn't look like many people are placing any weight on the debate Thursday night.

I can confirm Republicans are getting a poop ton of texts and phone calls as well.  I had to hide the alerts and block the numbers.  However, I did get one or two texts from the Dems asking if I was going to vote for Biden.

There’s an early voting place near me behind a gas station we fuel up at every day.  It opens at 8 and we fuel up around 715-ish each morning.  There was already a line waiting to vote.  I assume it was yet another trump train.  Or at least I’m hoping.

As far as the debate, I’d be shocked if many are waiting for that to make a decision.  I think we all knew who we were voting for from the beginning.  You either (being polite) want to continue what we’ve done and been doing the last four years or you just plain hate trump/ jumping on the socialist bandwagon.

Personally, I think the African-American Vote, in total quantity, will be comparable to the Obama 2012 vote but there will be a slight drop off from the Dem %.

It is of my opinion that if Biden wins this election, the George Floyd killing, and subsequent events, was the turning point that motivated a large number of African Americans that did not vote in 2016 to turn out and vote this year.

.... that's just my 2 cents.

You mean the overdose of Goerge Floyd.. Dude couldn't stop eating drugs everytime he was pulled over

I get at least 12 text messages a week from both the Democrats and Republicans telling me to vote and make sure to help their parties. I always text them back, saying that I am definitely voting, but I won't be voting for their candidate.
Heh, heh.  This talk of receiving text messages makes me laugh.  Any time I sign up for something, as an example tickets to a rally or whatever I put my liberal brother's name and phone number down.  I'm thankful that I never get political spam.

You should never lie to pollsters. It upsets Mike.

Eh, I lie on here about who I'm sleeping with, and I do it to amuse myself.  I don't understand why you choose lying to pollsters as your amusement, but, I can't look down on it.
I just received this text:

“Hey James, it's Jesse with Florida For All. We need 1,000 poll monitors to ensure a free, fair, & accessible election. Are you interested in protecting the vote in your community? You'll receive a gift card as a token of our appreciation! Are you in?”

I’m obviously not James...but should I reply “TRUMP 2020” on James’s behalf?  Laughing

I didn't lie. I'm voting for Libertarian candidate Jo Jorgensen.

That’s probably nicer than my reply of “[BLEEP] off”.  So, go for it!
Iran and Russia committing election fraud trying to help Biden campaign!

"Iran is distributing other content to include a video that implies that individuals could cast fraudulent ballots, even from overseas. This video and any claims about such allegedly fraudulent ballots are not true,"

Election interference.
Anyone see Barry talking to 10 people with a megaphone through a mask?

The jokes just write themselves...

There is a large number of black voters who are voting for Trump even though they have always voted democrat, or have considered themselves to be democrat but never voted. You see them in videos on youtube and you see them in the comments section of these videos. I think white leftist liberals are Biden's voter base, not the black voter.

Brandon Tatum is a former police officer, a former democrat and yes, a black man. He has a YT channel. Interesting perspective. Anthony Brian Logan is a very conservative black man who has a channel. And the Hodge twins. They all have very different ways of speaking and they're all from different backgrounds but they're all black conservatives who tell it from a POV that is interesting, especially when the leftists started talking about how Uncle Ben's, Aunt Jemima and others had racist caricatures on their labels.

Love the Hodge Twins.  I usually have to watch their videos more than once because I am laughing right along with them.

Oh my goodness yes. They're hilarious! The first time I watched them I was already familiar with B Tatum and ABL. Tatum can get cranked up while ABL is very measured. The Hodge twins.... are in a class of their own. And the one ends it shrieking, "that was a damn good show!!" and slams his fists on the table with the other one is cracking up.
Regarding getting texts, I've also received multiple texts from people I don't know asking me about voting. And I've received mutiple letters in the mail as well.

I live in NC and early voting is going on right now for us. I'm not going to do it because the place where I would go to vote early is usually pretty packed. I normally go vote with my dad and I don't want him standing in a long line to vote. We'll go vote together on actual election day when hardly anyone shows up at the polls the normal voting place we vote at, lol. I just feel like that's better and he won't have to be around a larger crowd of people. We could have done the mail in ballot (or at least my dad could have done it), but I do like to vote in person. Though with everything going on regarding COVID, you do have to be careful.
