I hope I'm wrong, but, anecdotally, I am seeing a swell of support for Biden among undecideds.

Are these first person accounts?
Yeah. I have a way of getting people to confide in me. I pay particular attention to those who are largely apolitical, but starting to lean towards Biden or abstaining. So far, I am encountering more people than I would have thought leaning towards Biden. Trump's base is VERY enthusiastic, but I am getting the impression that more people want a return to normal.

Is your ego really that fragile?
Personally, if I were president, I would have done everything possible to get the stimulus checks and PPP loans approved and in the hands of the general population and small businesses prior to the election (e.g. approved deal in Sept with checks issued at the beginning of October would have been perfect timing).  Regardless of which party is to blame, the positive impact of those getting checks and trusting they'd be taken care of through thick and thin would have benefited the incumbent party.

.... just my 2 cents heading into the final days of the election.

Not an ego thing at all.
It was being abused.  Dislike should be for "that's rude" or "that's in poor taste" or even "that's a red herring."
But instead, it was being used to say, "I disagree with you," and that's a cop out.  If you want to tell someone you disagree with them, you should explain why.  I have no problem with people disagreeing with me, I'd just want to know why.  If they tell me why and it makes sense, my ego is small enough that I might turn around and agree.

Who elected you to decide how things should be done? Because, and I say this in all sincerity, [BLEEP] your feelings.

Here's a starter for you:  https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/202...ballot-fl/

Nice link, with a bunch of claims and no supporting links to back up anything.  Well, if it's on the Internet, I guess it must be true.

"Postal employees in New Jersey and Florida have been charged this month with dumping or blocking the delivery of mail-in ballots, and a third employee was fired after investigators say they found more than 100 mail-in ballots dumped in Kentucky."

If true, this sounds like the work of seriously disturbed Trump-loving postal workers...you know, the ones who hate the vote by mail process.  In all seriousness, though, I'd like to see more specifics on what exactly went down.  Even dumping standard (junk) mail will get you fired immediately.  Ballots sent out by the division of elections have tracking numbers, so it is fairly easy to prove or disprove dumping nowadays.  And hey, if some idiot letter carrier wants to lose his $60,000+/yr job to make a political statement, then good riddance to them.

"In West Virginia, a mailman pleaded guilty over the summer to meddling with ballot requests in the presidential primary, switching voters from Democrat to Republican."

Ok, so I'm guessing this is a special kind of Trump-loving idiot.  Switching voters from Democrat to Republican...not sure how this would be done without opening the mailpieces (likely First Class Mail which is always sealed against inspection) which = getting fired.  Again, good riddance, dumbarse.

"In central Virginia, collection boxes outside six post offices were ransacked this month, and election officials worry that ballots may have been taken."

Sadly, this happens from time to time.  It even happened up here in Anchorage a few times, but not necessarily for ballots.  Some drunk idiots back their pickup up next to a drop box RIGHT OUTSIDE A STATION IN BROAD DAYLIGHT and loop chains over the dropbox and take off with it, Breaking Bad style.  Surveillance systems usually get them caught quickly, however, and they enjoy having a felony conviction added to their rap sheets.

So this is three totally unconfirmed instances.  A far cry from "countless instances" that SC was stating.
Anyone see Biden [BLEEP] his diaper as he walked out for the final debate?

When I say it's a cop out, that's my opinion.  Everyone gets to have an opinion. And I know, you love to [BLEEP] the rest of me, so why not my feelings too? One of the few remaining sources of joy in your life, how could I deprive you?

Even if it meant a bunch of pork being included that has no business being in a stimulus package? Didn't Pelosi try to get abortion pork into a stimulus package a few weeks back? What does that have to do with the economy or people who need help?

Not. A. Dang. Thing.

The only thing that should be in a stimulus package is stuff directly for that purpose. Nothing else from nobody else. Period.

If I win the bet: “I’m the man [BLEEP] that got the rep button taken away” is a leading candidate for the sig bet.  Along with a trump pic.  But of course I will start ***The Offial Mikesez Signature Poll andSuggestion Thread***

It’s all about your ego. You got totally butthurt because people didn’t like what you posted. You were worried about new people coming on the board and seeing all your down votes and thinking you were a loser. Because that’s what you said in the thread talking about it. Nobody owes you an explanation as to why they don’t like something you post.
Interestingly enough, you don’t seem to need an dissertation as to why someone might have +1 a post from you though...but I’m sure this all has nothing to do with ego. Rolleyes

Armchair psychology is not a good look.
I was concerned that they would think I was rude or uninformed.  I could care less if they think I'm a loser.  This is the Jaguars forum.  We're all losers here!
Nobody owes anyone anything, yes.  You don't have to participate in anything you don't want to participate in.  But if you participate, if you impose on people, if you dump on them, then yes you do owe them things.  If you didn't want to take the time to explain the downvote, maybe, uh don't make it?

As for upvotes, it's not just me! Nobody demands an explanation for positive feedback!  If another woman compliments your outfit, do you stop, and ask her what her favorite part is? No! But if your sister or boyfriend or whatever says you're not looking your best, you're either going to be offended, or you're going to be asking follow up questions about if it's your hair or your shoes or what so you can look better. Would your sister "owe" you an explanation? I want everyone to get upvotes.  Are you so selfish that you assume other people you interact with must also be only thinking of themselves? Check yourself.
