Here is how America finally dies: the rich and powerful concoct a narrative of liberty and freedom. Like parasites they wrest control of the press, fund  political campaigns, and suppress law enforcement. Their final frontier is social media. Then democracy is strangled to death.

For those of faith,  like I said, we’ve got bigger fish to fry if it comes to a socialist country.
Huh? Without getting into religious debates, I'm a Christian and it doesn't matter what kind of governmental system I live in. My beliefs will always be the same and no one can make me change them. If the United States stays capitalists, goes socialist or communist or even falls into a dictatorship, I will never change my own personal beliefs. I just don't know how socialism plays into that. There are people of faith still living in all of those types of systems.

We could start with something simple like voter ID.

Nothing wrong with that.

Democrats are sold on the idea that government can help them get ahead in their lives, which explains why they own the popular vote like the sun will rise in the morning. Republicans I know make their own destiny. As long as you have good advisers and accountants, you can navigate the laws of the land no matter how [BLEEP] up they are.

How do you hire advisors and accountants when you can barely afford to pay your bills?

Here’s to hoping those laws don’t change that allow us to do so.  And that they don’t decide you’d make a better burger flipper (Making a whopping 15/hr) than a Doctor, realtor, entrepreneur, etc

We can’t get into it.  So I can’t explain.  I won’t question your faith.  But in the book I’ve been reading, it states things about the end of the world. The world’s superpowers no longer being such.  If we go from what we were to a socialist country, well, there goes that.  I personally will not be chipped for my money or healthcare.  But enough of that.  I don’t want to get into religion here.

The beauty of that though, is our resident foreigners that’s bashing us will also feel the pain.

Do you mean by people in general (including those not posting on this forum) during this election process?

If so, I do think it may pick back up should Biden get into office. I do wonder what exactly he will do regarding mandates, etc...should he be elected. I know he's mentioned things before, but I do wonder if he would alter those plans even a little should he be elected and take the office in January.

No, no, no.  That is racist.
Someone born in 1850, is still on the Michigan voter roll and they voted.

I don't care who they voted for, but all that fraud has to be cleaned up

I feel bad for the police having to evacuate elderly workers. What ever happened to the respect for the thin blue line?

Due to massive mis-management of COVID-19, I hope they clean up the voting register of the hundred of thousands of deaths.

Those Trump supporters outside of the Arizona Building seem unstable. This is one of the reasons why he may end up losing this election. He fanbase includes and riles up some of the worst people. I feel bad for the workers and reporters in that area. They are all trying to do their job but these supporters are making them feel threatened. One reporter there actually said that a Trump protester threatened them and told them he will find out where they live. That's shameful. The protesters need to go home and let things play out however they are going to.
So, let me get this straight...

In Arizona, Trump supporters are outside a counting station yelling "Count the votes!" And in Michigan, Trump supporters are outside a counting station yelling "Stop the count!"

Oooookay.
If Biden pulls out Pennsylvania, which is looking increasingly likely, the question will be, how many ballots were received after election day and counted.  If those ballots make the difference in the election, Trump stands a good chance in court because of the 6-3 conservative majority in the Supreme Court.  You can look it up, but this is the only issue Trump has raised so far that has any merit.  The issue is, can the Pennsylvania courts decide that ballots postmarked by election day can be counted if received by Friday, or is that the role of the PA legislature.  I think that if Biden wins the election, and the winning margin is provided by ballots received in PA after election day but postmarked by election day, then I would bet on Trump winning that case in the Supreme Court and thus winning the election.

Of course, if Biden retains Arizona and Nevada, I don't think the Supreme Court would even take the case, because it wouldn't make a difference in the election.

But if Trump can pull out either AZ or NV, which is entirely possible, and Biden pulls out PA because of those late arriving ballots, then those PA ballots will wind up in the Supreme Court and Trump will win.
Can we just make Morgan Freeman or Tom Hanks president? Seems simple enough.
