Quote:I see no reason why the Jags would not want Leonard Williams if he is available at Pick 3.
maybe because they have someone rated higher on their board? Just like a lot of people on here thought Bridgewater was the next Elway, Brady, Montana and every team in the league passed up on him. Teams boards are different than the medias or the internet
I think there is sufficient evidence that the Jags are doing their due diligence on trade down scenarios. There are actually two  or three types of trade down scenarios. One involves Mariota and another might involve Amari Cooper, although Leonard Williams could also be a target. The question with these trade down scenarios always centers upon whether they will be worth the trouble to move down. I am not so sure that any trade offer will be worth what the Jags have to give up. The Jags really need Pro-Bowl players and there are not many of those in this draft class.

At this point last year everyone knew Bridgewater isn't going very high. The closer you looked, the more question marks there were from him.

Williams is not anything like that

Gregory is this year what Bridgewater was last year.

Prior to the season everyone would have been Ecstatic with Gregory but as the season and post season events happened questions begin to pop up.

Maybe teams and GMs, but you must have not been on here this time last year.  It was different on these boards.

No, I was here.

Most people that had him going high thought that before the combine and pro day.

Nobody claimed he'd be a sure top 5 pick after that.
1. Dante Fowler. Most disruptive player in the class. Versatile and plays like his head is on fire.

2. Byron Jones. Freak athlete that can convert to FS.

3. Tyler Lockett. Put him in the slot and he gets open almost every single play.

4. Jeremy Langford. Big, smooth back that reminds me of Arian Foster or Leveon Bell.

5. Davis Tull. OTTO with elite athleticism that fits our scheme perfectly.

6. Blake Bell. Raw with only one year at TE but nice athleticism and showed decent hands.

7. Oline

Langford isn't exactly "Big" he's 6' 208, compared to two guys that are 6'1 225+

i like that late bell flyer

Should have said "bigger." He does have the body type to put on 10+ lbs and not lose a step though.
Quote:From what I have seen and heard about the Browns and Eagles, I think that both teams are still interested in trading up for Mariota. I heard Shefter say on ESPN that the Eagles are still exploring trading up for Mariota and seeing the Browns offered a 1st round pick for Bradford it seems like they are still interested, so I wanted to create a hypothetical just for the fun of it looking at trade values.

Say that we were offered these two trade scenarios:

Browns offer: Eagles Offer:

R1 PK 12 R1 PK 20

R1 PK 19 R2 PK 52

R4 PK 108 R3 PK 84

2015 1st Round Pick

According to trade values, both these deals are considered to be pretty much equal, so which would you choose to accept?

MOJOKING POST-Free Agency Mock 1.3   3-22-15

Mock - Top 10

Mock:
<div>1. Buccaneers - Jameis Winston QB
Gonna be Jameis

2. X - Marcus Mariota QB
• Looks like Mariota will go #2 overall no matter what. To which team though, we don't know.

3. Falcons - Leonard Williams DT
Trade partner for the Jags. Falcons need to rush the passer and haven't had a good DT for a loooooong time.  Jags receive:
2016 1st Round
2015 3rd Round

4. Raiders - Amari Cooper WR
Raiders go the safe route and take the polished WR

5. Redskins - Vic Beasley OLB
Redskins take the workout warrior

6. Jets - Dante Fowler OLB
Jets need to rebuild Defense

7. Bears - Shane Ray OLB
John Fox will rebuild the defense first

8. Jaguars - Todd Gurley HB
Too early? Yeah maybe. But pre-ACL Gurley was slotted to go around here. I think (for funzies) that Dave's talk about "RB is the last thing we need" and "RB is the last thing you need to have on a team" is all just a giant smokescreen because he wants to land the most talented player In the draft, Todd Gurley. Dave has been denying we want a HB too much and in almost every interview. Even the acquisition of Bernard Pierce is a smokescreen (I want to have fun with this conspiracy, so don't hate...to much).  It's too easy to mock Leonard Williams to the Jags, it's getting boring. It was easy for us to just mock draft Khalil Mack or Clowney, but we went with Blake Bortles.  Williams is great, but I think a star HB is what we need.

9. Giants -  Brandon Scheriff OT
Protect Eli!!

10. Rams - Kevin White WR
Give Nick Foles a nice weapon

Jaguars Mock
1st Round - Toddy Gurley HB
2nd Round - Cody Prewitt S
3rd Round - Denzel Perryman ILB
3rd Round - Tre Jackson OG
4th Round - Lorenzo Mauldin OLB

If we did get the Browns 2 1st for our 1st id go

1 pck 12. Todd Gurley

1 pck 19. Eric Kendricks

2 pck 36. Maxx Williams

Bingo this class is beginning to really have some reaches in it.I don't think it is as bad as 2012 though........yet

Very well thought out. The Byron Jones pick is real risky but he could slowly work into the FS position. I have not seen anything he can't do.
Rotoworld mentioned the Jags as one of the teams talking with Jay Ajayi after his Pro Day. It seems he is a player that will be taken in Rd 2 of the upcoming draft.

Has Byron Jones of UConn had his Pro Day yet? I have seen no mention of his 40 time.

No offense but I hate that mock…(not too much tho as you asked not for too much hate)

Gurley @ 7 with Gregory still there would concern me a bit…I'd rather have Gregory or White or even Shelton over Gurley in that slot.

Prewitt @ 36 is probably my biggest issue…way too early for him…don't care about his pro day numbers he has always been a "slower" relying on instincts FS and not the Rangy Centerfield speed type.  Prewitt in the 3rd I could maybe live with but in the 2nd I cringe.

Love Perryman in the 3rd…Tre Jackson is decent but there are probably a few other guys I might take over him if they were to fall…D. Johnson or one of the RBs that falls as I wouldn't take Gurley @ 7…Maybe Ogbuehi falls this far…Even Tyler Lockette.

But hey its all fun and games right now so don't take criticism to hard.
Updated 7 round mock based off drafttek's newest 7 round mock:

R1: DT Leonard Williams- Stud, improves depth and competition at already strong positions.

R2: MLB Eric Kendricks- Stud MLB. Versatile and can cover sideline to sideline.

R3: RB Jay Ajayi- Absolute Beast at RB, can do pretty much everything you would want a RB to do.

R4: WR/KR/PR Phillip Dorsett- Could be a very good slot WR and return guy.

R5: SS/FS Jaquiski Tartt- Offers potential versatility to play FS and SS. At the worst, he provides quality depth and competition for Cyp.

R6: OLB Jake Ryan- Very underrated. Would provide LB depth.

R7: FS Damarious Randall- Could be a very good FS in our system. Many are high on him in the 2nd-3rd round, so 7th round is obvious.

Worst mock I've seen yet.

Gurley at #8?!! With Gregory and White on the board? Not to mention we only gain a 1st next year and a 3rd this year? Unreal.
