Quote:Then why didn't he receive similar numbers among whites, hispanics, and asians if it was all about platform.  A large number voted for him because he offered them free healthcare, and the rest because he was black and a democrat.  Hispanics are the next poorest ethnic group in the United States and that's where he got his second highest voting turnout; the hispanics who aren't poor didn't care if he was a black democrat.  Polling numbers support this.

What were the black voting figures for GWBush v Kerry?

You're citing a statistic in a vacuum as if it has any bearing on anything.

The republican platform is heavily racist from the start, why would you expect blacks to vote for racists?
Quote:Minimum wages have not gone up but neither have average wages for the sub 100k category. Like my pops works at a steel mill in Jax and sure he get standard raises yearly and such but its not like wages go up a ton compared to the rising profits. Shouldn't wages across the board go up in some proportion to increases in profits?

The problem isn't what your Dad's making the problem is what he can buy with what he's making. Inflation is the biggest tax on the middle class and we've seen a rapid and unsustainable rise in inflation over the last decade.

The key is to stop the inflation, now ask why is your dollar today worth so much LESS than it was just 10 years ago?

Laughing You are aware Lincoln was a Republican?

Low taxes and lax banking and investment regulation.

Yes, just like the republicans used to support unions.

Are you trying to come across as completely out of touch with reality or are you really just so delusional to think that the party is the same as it was 150 years ago?

Guess it has nothing to do with the Fed printing money at an unprecedented rate......

Kerry isn't black and didn't propose ACA.  If Kerry did propose ACA, he would have easily won.

You said and I quote

Do you actually know what the Fed is?

I'm not even republican, but this seems to be the progressive line these days.  "You're racist if you don't agree with us."

That's glossing over the issue, IMO.

If the problem isnt what my dad is making but rather the value of the money he is making, than business should not care about increasing profits but rather on increasing the value of their current profits. They do not do this. Instead they keep their employees wages relatively flat compared to increases in profits.

Excuse me, I mean the start of their current platform, not the start of the nation.
Quote:I'm not even republican, but this seems to be the progressive line these days.  "You're racist/ a bigot if you don't agree with us."

Yep, pretty much. For any of their agendas.

You realize conservatives act the exact same towards their agendas right?
Quote:Do you actually know what the Fed is?

A private bank endorsed by the Federal Government to print and manipulate our currency.

Yes it's simplifying a very complicated process, I'm trying to drive home a point the problem is inflation. Your Dad along with everyone else isn't making more but we have less buying power than we did just 10 years ago, that is directly tied to government trying to "fix" private sector problems.

That's more reasonable, I still disagree but now what your saying is debatable and not outlandish.
Quote:You realize conservatives act the exact same towards their agendas right?

Intolerant, yes.  Claiming anyone who disagrees with them is racist, sexist, etc, no.

Yes inflation is a major problem, for sure. Do you think wages should be remaining stagnant in response to profits increasing?
Quote:A private bank endorsed by the Federal Government to print and manipulate our currency.

Okay, now, do you understand what its actual function is and what QE actually is? And manipulating our currency isn't the correct answer.

Not the Ron Paul version, but what it actually is.

Anti-semetic, nazi's, hitler. They have their own terms they like to use.
