Quote:Wanting to play and being able to play are two very different things. I'm sure he wants to play. Is that desire strong enough to cause him to give up his old lifestyle?
At this point, his problems may be so of out his control that he is unable to overcome them without professional help, if at all.
Unless his crack dealer says "Get out there and make me some money!"

LOL. Has he used up his whole line of credit?
It is what it is. No sense in beating this dead horse anymore. Just stick to what we've got. We've got Shorts, Lee, Robinson, and Sanders to look forward to and hope for.

I presume he is getting professional help, and given the stakes involved there's plenty of reason to think he'll overcome this.
Seems like a lot of projecting going on in here. Leave blackmon alone!

Due to the timeframe since his last suspension, I'll conclude that his rehabbing (less a setback) is already complete. It usually takes three-five months w/professional care to get clean under the worst circumstance. Just a projected timeframe that the stars go through. Admittedly everyone is different. If my projection is on parr, B14CKMON should be getting into football shape awaiting the call...

This is not something that can be cured.

You don't know him like I know him. He loves me. Just you wait and see.

I wish Justin Blackmon the best, and hope he gets the help he needs for grave concerns of his health. That being said I dont think we will ever see Justin Blackmon return to an NFL field as a Jaguar starter.
At least he isn't Josh Gordon

No, addiction is something he has to live with the rest of his life. But there are time frames for people getting clean that are pretty standard depending on what program he's in.
Tick anyone else off all the talk for Gordon and how he needs help, needs to be with the team etc? Not a thing for Blackmon who is in the same basic boat.

I'd say Gordon is in a worse condition/situation
Blackmon is only causing concern because he is being silent. Gordon, otoh, is in the news because he keeps getting in trouble.

Another thing, Blackmon didn't lead the League in Receiving Yards either.

yes that too

His focus wasn't exactly on leading the league. Well then, maybe pot helps one's focus more than alcohol? :woot:

That's the rumor that I've heard.
What does Blackmon need to do to be as bad as Gordon, get arrested again? That might happen shortly.
