Quote:It's not "certainly" going to do anything to the team chemistry. Players are most likely going to be supportive of him getting another chance.

You said it yourself ." Most Likely ". Not all of them will be supportive some will be down right angry. I'll bow out now on the subject as I have now offered my opinion plenty of times and so have many of you. If he makes it back and helps the team that will be a wonderful thing, although I'm certainly not expecting that.

Players are generally supportive of eachother. Look at when guys hold out... you don't see players whining when the player holding out comes back after/mid training camp and reclaims his starting job.

In front of the cameras and journalist and team coaches and executives they are absolutely generally supportive and you are correct that most of them are generally supportive at all times. Remember, just because we don't see it or hear any whining does not equate to there being none .Also, I don't think a holdout is a very good comparison to a multiple time suspended player returning.
I think there is somebody here who was severely effected by an alcoholic at some point in their life.

If JB makes it back to the team and on the field, this team is better. Period. If he makes it to that point where he's suiting up again, that means he's gone through the ringer already about his problems with the NFL front office, Dave Caldwell, Gus, Jerry Sullivan, and the team captains.

Players get cut all the time because somebody else is better. Blackmon is better than every other receiver we have when he's on the field. Period.

I don't care if he's on his 3rd chance. If he's sober and on the field, as a fan that's all I care about.

First of all I think you are trying to be in the mind of a profesional athlete and you really have no idea what they are thinking, you are just making up a scenerio and running with it. Second I'm sure a disgruntled Mike Brown wont real matter much after it is all said and done.

Mike Brown is one of the players that has attempted to reach out to Blackmon... so its not him who will be "disgruntled"

You have no idea what goes on when the cameras are off, but in most instances, players, especially team mates, tend to support each other. I'm wondering. Have you ever actually played a sport?
Quote:Is that really necessary? What are you, 5??

And, I think you're off in that assessment anyway. Adding one of the best talents at the position in the league will not "cause dissent" in the locker room.

Lol!

Late to the party and all, but are you freaking serious!?!?!

Do you need a refresher on some of the names you have banded about on here?

I didnt mean him particularly, just used him as an example of a player lower on the roster

At least the people I bashed in the past are pretty much scrubs.

Oh that makes childish insults ok then. Well done you, have a cookie.

It's just easy pickings for folks who don't want to do too much thinking.
Why are we still talking about JB?

This team is moving on....and I like what I see.

I don't want to be let down anymore.

Heck with him.

Why? Because 1.) it's the offseason, and he's one of the bigger stories surrounding personnel for this team, and 2) at some point he is going to be reinstated hopefully.
We're just a few weeks from pre-season...I'm excited about that.

We have a good group of receivers...and they're sober too.

If JB makes it back will he even be able to partake in The Gus Juice without failing the pee test? The Gus Juice could fall under the PED rules. :woot:

I hear it's pretty strong stuff!

Grown men have been known to fall under its influence.
I"m just curious if anyone has any credible evidence he is in rehab? We don't even know if his latest suspension is for alcohol do we? All we know is he was suspended indefinitely which means he violated the substance abuse (not PEDs) policy of the league. But all this rumor mongering is interesting off-season banter.

Regards..................the Chiefjag

Justin seems like a real headcase. It would not surprise me if he never comes back.

Nah, what wouldn't surprise me is you still finding some reason to bash him even when he does come back.
