Quote:You don't define your inflammatory rhetoric as "hater" talk, but you call the weak sauce brought in the original post hate talk?

There's no whiff here.  You're just delusional.

My "inflammatory" rhetoric was well earned by the 2 bozos it was intended for.

And Mr. Multiple DUI, "I'm a changed man", "wait a minute no I'm not", ignore my team mate's support, isn't considered a bozo?

No, you're a hater if you say anything negative about him.

Blackmon needs our support.

He's trying to fight an addiction.

When he said those things, he actually believed them. The addiction was stronger than he realized. Thats what happens.

A world class, professional athlete, with a 20 million dollar contract, needs our support?

Quit flattering yourself. It's embarrassing.

You know what he was thinking?

Maybe he was lying, and he knew he was lying?  He didn't admit he had a problem until recently, so it stands to reason if he didn't think he had a problem previously,  he was lying when he made those comments, and he knew it.  Addicts lie.

How are you supporting him? By typing words onto a message board he'll never read. Congrats?

So the guys who were genuinely trying to help this team, albeit doing a poor job of it, are more of a bozo than a guy who continuously breaks rules and laws and shuns his teammates and coaches?

Okay.

Or, he really didn't believe that he had a problem....

So, thats not "lying"....

Isn't that pretty much how he supports the entire team?

If he said he was going to stop drinking alcohol all together, which he did, he lied.

You're more than welcome to defend him like you're his battered spouse, but there's plenty of evidence to indicate he lied quite a bit.

Okay.

I can respect his wishes of privacy/ seclusion from the team as he tries to fight this. Just because you might prefer to handle it one way doesn't mean he isn't more comfortable doing it his way.

Until you've walked in a mans shoes, who are you to judge?

If the reports are accurate, he only decided to get the help he was comfortable with getting recently.  He's been suspended for months now.  I guess being suspended indefinitely didn't cause any light bulbs to go off, at least not right away.

Better late than never

That's rich coming from the queen of passing judgment on this board.

I'm not judging.  I'm simply stating facts that he did indeed lie.  You're in denial.  It's okay.

Late nonetheless.

Like you, he's been in denial.

I'm not judging others on stuff like addiction, which is something thats not an easy fix.

He has a commitment to the team and owner- an owner who wrote him a 20 million dollar check.

If he had come out and said he is battling and would like to handle things privately, it would be one thing. He hasn't.

He has disrespected the team and owner by leaving them completely in the dark.

Good point.

He's immature. Thats the only thing I see him guilty of. Its clear that he is battling and wants to handle things privately, but has done a non-existent or poor job in relaying that message.

Its real easy to judge him on this side of things or assume the worst.
