I'm sure you'd be giddy about that.

No question about it. jaguarmvp is the anti-fan.

Quote:We're just a few weeks from pre-season...I'm excited about that.

We have a good group of receivers...and they're sober too.

That's just it. Right now we have a good group of receivers. With Blackmon on the roster we have a great group of receivers.

Yep. And with Calvin Johnson on the roster we would have a great group a receivers.

Like with Blackmon, circumstances prevent that from being realistic.

I don't think that's a good comparison for pretty obvious reasons.

Whatever you say. Neither are available for our team.
I am new to the forum, but not to football. In my opinion, as a player Blackmon is a beast. The Jags would be foolish to let him go, then him recover from his problems and be picked up by another team, especially and AFC south team. He is not costing any money. So let him be.

As a person, I wish him luck. He is very talented, and I hate that this has taken control of his life. Hopefully he will realize his situation and everything will work out.  I wish him the best.

Quote:I"m just curious if anyone has any credible evidence he is in rehab? We don't even know if his latest suspension is for alcohol do we? All we know is he was suspended indefinitely which means he violated the substance abuse (not PEDs) policy of the league. But all this rumor mongering is interesting off-season banter.

Regards..................the Chiefjag

Well, during last season's dead-zone he was spotted having a Friday afternoon lunch at a local restaurant...  It was "rumored" to me by an employee working at the restaurant during said lunch that he was cut off after 8 double cocktails.

Considering JB's status in the NFL substance abuse program did not permit any consumption of alcohol, my money is on alcohol being the root cause of his latest suspension.

Don't know anything about rehab(s) that he may or may not have entered.  And whether or not he ever plays for the Jags or any other NFL team again, I certainly hope and pray he gets himself together for the sake of his health.

I would not.  I would love for him to come back and become the dominant player he showed glimpses of.  In Fact I was one of the few who defended him in the past.  I live in reality and the reality is he is a head case.

That's real rich coming from you.   You have to pull your panties out of your butt every time the Jags show any kind of success.

Good first post and welcome to the Jungle...

Thats not true at all.

If you actually paid attention, its when the Jags are not doing well that I complain/ criticize. I also criticize the players that deserve it, not the stud talents on the team. I rarely if ever have a bad word for the elite level Jag player. I know I've never said one bad word about Taylor/ J-Smith/ Boselli/....ever. I don't bash Blackmon. We don't get many elite level talents around here so when we do get them, I'm not going to crap all over them. Now BUMS like Marcedes? Yep. You bet I'll crap all over that. Overpaid and average. Bad combo.

But you with that absolute joke of an avatar obviously would be giddy as a school girl to see Blackmon released by us and go on to become a stud elsewhere ala Cris Carter. The only thing that would make you doubly happy is probably to see him go to a division rival for the icing on the cake.

We'll see.
For those of us that believe Blackmon is a lost cause, are we now "anti-fans"?

Is it one of those things where you're "With us or Against us"?

Only if you're also rooting for him to be a lost cause.

Only a sith deals in absolutes
Quote:2) at some point he is going to be reinstated hopefully.
At some point I'm going to win Powerball hopefully.

I buy a ticket and I hope Blackmon returns but........................I don't really expect either to happen!
