He should have gone through the process of fixing his addiction the first time, even if it took a year.

I battled with alcoholism in college, but that never trumped my basic moral values by leading me to get behind a wheel. I'm not going to make excuses for this little twit.
<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Sour Diesel claims another.

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Idiot.

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Dont let the door hit ya in the [BLEEP].

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Trade value = 0

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">How about the contract Smith negotiated? They can recoup some money..no?  If so, I hope they do.

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">He is a waste. Or wasted. Like his pick in the draft

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Dammmmittt.
This has to be the hardest of any NFL team on its fans.

Mercy, what else can happen?

"Thugs", not "drunks" or "drug addicts".
Quote:One step closer to Teddy I guess...

Whether it's Teddy or another blue chip prospect at a marquee position,    that player will go along way for the Jaguars and the team's fan base to look towards what could be a bright future.     A major key in the Jaguars decision making process in the 2014 Draft should be finding not only a very talented prospect,   with a good health report,   and character,   but also someone who can handle the spotlight as a mega building block.     Some players thrive on this type of situation.    Others can't handle the expectations.
Lets not jump to conclusions here, there are plenty of guys with bad character throughout the league who havent even been suspended once.

Thank you for exposing your ignorance. You don't "fix" addiction, once you're an addict, you stay an addict for life. You might have extended periods of sobriety but eventually you fall off the wagon. There's a reason people introduce themselves as "Hi, I'm [name], I'm an addict" when they got to AA meetings.
Championship!

We are cursed.  What did we do to deserve  this?   Has  to be something.

Fired Coughlin. Should have never done that.
Quote:This franchise is an absolute and utter disgrace.  Pathetic.  They SHOULD move to London.

Drama queen much?

I guess that makes everybody else "ignorant" who doesn't know the process that you apparently know so well.

Marino 1999 last game = curse of the football gods for decades.

Not being able to fix an addiction? I haven't touched an alcoholic beverage in 22 years. I wonder what the **** I did.
   This year is a real morale killer.  bad enough the only thing I have to look forward to is the draft. now Blackmon flushes his career before it can even really begin.

   But I cant feel bad for him. he has had every advantage in the world because of his god given talent. free college education. million dollar contracts. the wealth to pay for and access to the best substance abuse programs in the world. he obviously doesn't care about himself, so he certainly cant care about the jaguars or us the fans.

I think the angst is from the though of seeing someone so young, so talented, given the world and the rest of his life secure on a silver platter not being able to get his act together.  The league just doesn't throw around indefinite bans left and right, this is a rarity and makes me think the situation is worse than we've considered.
Many players in the NBA smoke weed and they seem to be able to perform perfectly fine. I think testing for weed in the first place is really dumb, but thats absolutely no excuse for Justin to test positive knowing the tests are coming. Really idiotic move, he cost himself over 3M dollars this season.
