If you look on the right side of the page you'll see Mariota has a higher grade than Bridgewater.
I like Teddy and I think he will be a good QB and if we take a QB 1st overall I hope it is Teddy but some people on this board overrate him quite a bit.  They act like he is Peyton Manning.

That was over a year ago before the college season started.  After the season started he played like crap and his stock went down quick.  Around this time last year, Star, Joeckel, Mingo, and Jordan were the top guys.  Star was number one on most peoples boards.
Quote:I don't get it. All of a sudden where is this Marcus Mariota fever comes from? Is it because Louisville just lost to UCF? Well, TB played a good game in a losing effort. Or is it because didn't perform lights out against Rutgers two weeks ago?

Prisco same guy who said Jevan Snead should be drafted 1st overall.
People falling

His stock didn't drop until midway when he sustained that injury. People are really sleeping on bridgewater, I am looking forward to the next season Smile

Jevan Snead. Last I heard of him he was arrested for a DUI.
Quote:Cool....maybe Tampa will be stupid enough to buy into that crap and take Mariota 1st overall when they get that pick!

Tampa is way better than us. They will win more games.

Same guy who wrote that horrible article about the NFL concussion lawsuit? BTW, he also wrote an article predicting that Chad Henne was the long term answer at QB for the Dolphins Wink

Teddy is the consensus #1 QB on far more places than this forum. Go anywhere on Reddit, Footballsfuture, pro sports daily, any of the top mock sites.

McShay is just doing his RG3 overrating routine to get hits/attention. Like RG3, Mariota has no serious shot at going #1.
Quote:I'm definitely a Teddy fan. Don't hate Mariota but don't love anything but his upside.

I'm gonna get a lot of flack for this, but I think a dark horse for our pick could be Manziel. I'm going to break down his Alabama tape tonight, will know a lot more after.

I would probably just stop being a Jaguars fan if that happened. Fortunately there is no chance in hell of that happening. No matter how many converted Tebow kids want Manziel.

Anyone who seriously brings up the t word when speaking of Johnny Manziel is completely losing me. Just, no.

Plus, aren't gator fans fixated on Bridgewater and Boyd? Don't see the connection.

To be fair, he wasn't the only one who liked Snead. McShay and Kiper were equally high on him prior the 2009 season. I also remember the media draft types whiffing on guys like Andre Woodson and Logan Thomas. They try to buy low, so if the guy pans out they can say they were high on him prior to the year.

Remember that one year when that one guy was high on Gabbert?  Oh wait, that was most people.

Its funny. I see alot of media members that like to rip the Jaguars for taking Gabbert. But in the lead up to the draft, they almost all had him as their top QB.

I still have a magazine at home (USA Today Draft Edition) that has Gabbert #1.  I don't think anyone could have foreseen Gabbert being in fear of taking a hit.  His lack of heart came out of nowhere.  The QB draw at the 7 yard line against the Rams pretty much summed up his career here.  Instead of making a move for a TD, he cringed into the fetal position at the 4 yard line about 2 seconds prior to getting hit.

There were concerns with his accuracy though. The weekend after the draft, ESPN Classic showed the Missouri-Oklahoma game from his junior year. That was his "signature moment" in college. I watched the game expecting to be blown away by his performance. I saw a QB who was never under center and had trouble hitting receivers downfield. I was hoping maybe I was just missing something that the scouts saw.

I don't think Manziel is "godly" enough for Tebow fans.

I can give you so much videos of him at Mizzou panicking without pressure, it really didn't come out of nowhere.
