This team doesnt lack work ethic, it lacks coaching to get them right and to get away from this losing mindset Gus has put into them by "Just get better, dont worry about wins and losses". That was a joke from the get go.
Defense was coached just fine. The O fell apart and most was attributable to the piss poor QB play.

Still not impressed by constantlu puttinf Fowler at edge with no pass rush moves (why havent they helped teach him something) and Jack not getting on the field along with the lack of turnovers.

You seriously cant compare Yannick and Fowler.
One was polished coming out and one is extremely raw. Yannick schooled Big 10 LTs last year at Maryland on a consistent basis. Fowler played all over at Florida. We force him to play DE and his hand usage/moves to get to the QB just arent there. Hes relying purely on strength/athleticism every time. You cant have success consistently when you do that.
Hes going to take some time, just doesnt seem like the current staff has really worked much with him on it, or at least it isnt showing up whem watching him.

I totally agree, he just needs time. 1st year pass rushers usually struggle.

It almost feels weird saying I hope that is true. I would absolutely love to see Fowler tear it up next season. I am hopeful a lot of guys turn it up with a real coach.

Not surprised. He was beasting in camp then Gus and company decided to start "tweaking". Gus leaves the building and he goes back to beast mode. Color me shocked.
