The criticisms of Fowler are warranted but to call him a bust is insanity.

As much as I like Fowler, Beasley had a better rookie year

Every time I focus on fowler on passing situations he spins and ends up running into a brick wall. After the he can't figure out what to do. The coaching staff need to sit his but down and teach him other moves.
It's too early to call him a bust.

However, it's more than fair to say his performance has not been confidence inspiring and has all the looks of a player who will eventually be officially considered a bust.

You said coaching staff LOL

Should have put quotes on that lol
The coaches have been messing with him and tweaking small parts of his game. He was good in training camp and in the scrimmage, so was that just because our line is awful?

He was beating dudes like Josh wells it meant nothing
Yuuuuuuuup. It was incredibly telling that he disappeared when the preseason started.

We have some really pathetic fans.

It is almost like they have something to prove by rooting against our own players.

He isn't a defensive end.

Are we really doing this? If Dante was at least showing something like Yannick, no one would would be saying a bad thing about him, even with the stupid PFs he's racked up.
Quote:I've given my insights ad nauseam. Beasley led all rookies in hurries and was like 12th or something close to that in overall hurries. I also watch a ton of Falcons football as I have been one of Vics largest proponents and I have Julio and Coleman in my main dynasty money league. He was as good as you can expect a rookie DE to be.

Dante "personal" Fowler on the other hand doesn't do jack if he isn't stunting, and even lately he hasn't done jack while stunting. His pass rushes look like he is taking off after doing a dizzy bat contest.

The ranking I just saw had him at 25th overall in hurries.

I'm not defending Fowler as much as I'm critiquing your interpretation of Beasley's rookie year. Again, how could you possibly say he played as well as expected when he had trouble staying in the lineup. He only played 51% of snaps, too.

Hey now, Beasley was clearly superior at the combine. Hell, he was almost as good as Mike Mamula was there.

+1

I agree, his level of athleticism (or lack theirof) needs to be put closer to the ball to not get exposed. Bulk him up and hope he can be a better Ryan Davis interior pass rusher and see what we got.
He may bust but against Buffalo he was good. If Tyrod wasnt so mobile and elusive Fowler comes out with 2 sacks at the least. On one play in particular he actually won a straight up 1v1 pass rush and blew past the RT turning the corner nicely he forced a throw away.

His spin worked once too though it got him stoned every other time. I can understand the bust talk but today i saw some signs of life.
Look at Dee Fords career. Just another example, not to mention Fowler is being coached by the worst coach in NFL history

Even if Fowler was playing as badly as some people are saying, he still needs time and he still needs a competent coaching staff.

Outside of that he had 2 near sacks yesterday that I saw. He is getting the pressure (not as much as he was in camp) but the sacks will come.
He got stonewalled 1 on 1 vs Charles Clay at least one time.

Charles Clay is a TE.

Opposing coaches have no problem scheming a TE 1 on 1 against our 3rd overall pass rusher.
Honestly can't even do much with any of these bust threads. With Bradley as the coach I'm surprised any player is productive.
