Quote:My "ploy" is to see them hire a coach with a track record of winning. Marrone isn't the best option to accomplish that.
And how was Mike Smith here again?  Isn't the definition of doing the same things over and over Insanity?  I could be wrong.
Quote:Come in here and he has Malik Jackson, Marcedes Lewis, Kelvin Beachum, Paul Posluszny, Tashaun Gipson, etc.

Honestly though, this wasn't as much of an argument that he is a players coach. I honestly think a players coach is great. As long as they are held accountable then who cares like someone mentioned above? Like really? Not all players work well with a guy that's a hard [BAD WORD REMOVED].

I'm not saying I'm opposed to hiring a players coach. I just think there needs to be discipline and accountability from the top. If he provides that, it would turn out to be a good hire assuming he brings in strong coordinators.
Quote:If Doug gets hired it will be because we had no other options.

Exactly, and I don't anticipate that being the case.

Based on what facts?  I love the no substance talk.

If you don't agree with FBTs opinion, you are wrong. That is just the way it goes around here.
You can be a tough coach and still be loved by players. Doesn't have to be one or the other.

Quote:Khan can not afford to make another mistake. If hires Smih and lets Marrone walk.  And Smith does not produce Khan looks like a fool to the other owners.  For letting a guy already there walk who has (though limited) proven results.  For another sales pitch.

Khan paid $770 million for a franchise now valued at over $1 billion.   If he moves to London, the team increases in value.  He can pretty much afford to win or lose.

Well he is wrong Marrone gave the bills there first winning season in 10 years there.  And came here and shutdown a division rival bound for playoffs team and continued that against another division rival.  For the first half.  So he has produced twice as a HC.  But lets ignore that.  For a guy who had stacked teams.

And if Smith comes here and doesnt have success and marrone does elsewhere.  Khan looks like a fool.  Highly doubt Khan let that happen.

Hes not moving the team.  Stop.  He would of kept gus if that was the case.

Plus it is about honor and reputation.  And money has no barring.  When ya kick a guy to the curb that had success vs one you do not know.

Since when is 1 and 1...and blowing a sizable lead...success?

Just curious.

no starting rbs no starting te one missing good receiver and not his defense.  Made a guy who was invisible all season become a fed ex ground player of the week.  And had luck frustrated the entire first half.   So basically tons of back ups and still lead 17-3   Even with refs who tried to give every advantage to the clots.  And barely lost.  With the refs icing the game for 10 minutes.

And the most important out of that all.  Bortles looked 110% better those 2 games then the entire rest of the season with gus.  But yes highlights tell the entire story right?
Moving the team to London would increase the value of the team immediately, but it would be a terrible long term move IMO. At that point, the NFL becomes global and will want to expand to other countries. It is a slippery slope they are on to maintain their revenue stream.

blah,,,,blah. blah,,,,,,,blah; blah! blah?,,,,!

Plus the NFL will never out surpass the world cup.

And lost the game.  He was the coach...right?  You don't get rewarded for playing a good half.
I'm not sure how you out surpass something.

No substance talk? There's been plenty of substance and reasoning behind the opinions expressed. Maybe this is confusing you?
Alfie is throwing a temper tantrum on twitter right now because he doesnt have any inside information on who the head coach will be. He thinks the public needs to know every movement within the organization.
