Yes, the safe bet is Jags will not turn it around and Caldwell is fired after next season. We can only hope we are proven wrong. 

 

 

How is this a safe bet after witnessing how much patience Khan has as an owner? I'm not buying this notion at all Caldwell is only getting one more season with a brand new HC. It might take a miracle for the Jaguars to suddenly reach the post-season, but it's going to take a few more bad years in a row before Caldwell is out of here. Overall he's done an impressive job building the roster.

Thats another reason why I think Marrone would bring in new DC if hired.

 

 

Personally, I wouldn't mind another DC more adept at creating turnovers, but if they do go that direction I truly hope Wash stays on the DL Coach.

Kind of, however, it looks like Caldwell has been targetting offensive minded guys for the most part. This has me thinking he might look at Jim Bob Cooter over Austin if he were interview a Lions coordinator. ...or else he might call up Todd Haley or Vance Joseph.

Majority of the coaches that are still in the playoffs have the teams going to them from what I've noticed

49ers are having another GM interview next Monday. They don't seem to be in a rush at all.

I'm on the fence with this...One part of me says the entire coaching staff should go, the other part says Marrone and the rest of the coaching staff were stuck in Gus's system where they had no say in anything, and would be nothing like a Gus coached team...Not to mention that Marrone has been around for a good while and should know what the biggest problems have been...
