Quote:He's an idiot. How do you know check your tire pressure every time you go out?!

Nothing to do with car accident/tire. Everything to do with how late he is out.
Quote:Just not a good sign he is out that late and at a night club/bar week before. You have completely misunderstood my point.

I agree that is not ideal, but nothing serious if he's staying sober and not getting arrested.

I find it strange that Jameis gets a pass from you for gang banging a girl, but Blackmon blows a tire and you are all over him.  Come on.
I feel like he should be able to have fun on the weekends at least.  If it's every night, then its a problem.

Maybe if some of you idiots could get laid, you would understand there are perfectly good reasons to be out at 3:30 in the morning.

You people need to get off your high horses.

Quote:Maybe not, but again both of these things are a non-issue. These guys are in their early 20's, they are going to be out late at night as many others have already alluded to. My best guess is that he comes back and heavily contributes to the rebuilding of this football team.

Not sure why that would be your best guess. He had a DUI in 2010, blew .24 swerving completely hammered in 2012 right after being drafted, then suspended twice in 2013. But yeah, things are really pointing to him getting it together, smh...

He doesn't get a pass. He was never arrested and I still have no idea what he did or didn't do. Blackmon already has a long history. Jameis doesnt. Not sure what is so difficult to understand.

Every time his name is in the news its never for doing something positive. Keep in mind Blackmon has yet to be reinstated by the league. You would think by now he would be trying to keep a profile as low as possible to avoid having his name brought up yet again. I'm pretty sure the league is keeping tabs on this story and the story a few days ago as well.

Of course, but he hasn't shown an ability to handle that.
Blackmon is such a disappointment. Blown tire. What's next? Peanutbutter without jelly? The horror!

He definitely gets a pass.  Just like Big Ben gets a pass.  They play well, so people dont care.  It's pathetic.

At least a few people get it.

Because he has an issue with substance abuse? These things are out of guys control a lot of times. If it isn't something you have struggled with or don't know somebody who has struggled with it, I wouldn't expect you to understand, but since rehab he has been without incident and I would expect him to be reinstated and our #1 WR at some point this season. It's incredibly difficult to curb an addiction, especially when you're that age and active on the social scene. Give Justin a break, it isn't like he's Matt Jones blowing down lines.

He was never charged. I'm glad you were there and no what happened. I wasn't and certainly do not know what happened nor will I pretend to know what happened.

Who cares how late he was out?

If he wasn't drinking, then I'm not seeing why this is an issue. People keep saying "He has a past record!"  So?  It has pretty much no meaning whatsoever.  Nobody knows why he was out.  People are making assumptions.  Which we all know what they say about those.

Exactly, this is stupid. If he's out late drinking, he gets crucified. If he's out late, but completely sober, he's still crucified. As soon as you make a few mistakes, everybody expects you to keep making them. He got unlucky and his tire blew out. Clearly that doesn't happen unless he was partying all night getting drunk /sarcasm.

Neither was Blackmon in this case, but you are all over him.

Exactly. He has a record, so he's not allowed to leave his house? Maybe he was leaving a female's house, or a buddy's house, or maybe he needed to make a Walmart run for some milk. None of us can act like we were there and know why this all happened. Why can't we just wait on all of the facts to come out before jumping to conclusions?

Oh I fully understand. I've seen in first hand. I know all the excuses and justifications.

We have no idea if he is blowing lines or not.

Yes, it is incredibly difficult to curb an addiction. This is why I'm surprised you feel good about him getting back on the field especially with news of him being at night clubs and driving around at 3:30 in the morning. It is also much harder to avoid alcohol when you surround yourself around it especially early on in your recovery. You can spin it any way you like, but these aren't good signs.
I for one can say im glad he is okay and that it didnt involve drinking or drugs as far as we know. I hope for the best.

Hard to give a guy with his history the benefit of the doubt.
