Quote:Last I heard he didn't get into any trouble this morning. Thank god this didn't happen in the middle of the day. That tire could have taken a bunch of people out.

Yeah...that fact keeps getting lost on here!! Maybe if we shout it...HE WASN'T DOING ANYTHING WRONG!!!
Quote:You're right! We should burn him at the stake...he's a lazy, disrespectful drunk any way!

Didn't say that.  But I like your rhetoric.  Smart way to create a debate.

Perhaps my harsh critique was similar.

I'm just not a fan of Blackmon.  And I just don't see how partying at that hour of morning can be anything but a red flag
Quote:Not just for being pulled over, but being charged with any crime here.  Even when you are falsely accused.  Not even just by the police, but by random people.  It's pretty ridiculous up here, and I'd totally be up for moving if my wife didn't have tenure.  Sorry to hear that happened to you though.  Some of our police can be ridiculous.  (I got pulled over one time for going 2 mph over the speed limit, had to wind up going to court to fight it.)

Thanks for confirming my opinion of VA. I lived their for three years and the Ridiculousness is Ridiculous up their. Some people don't stand a chance...

Quote:Brother, you said it.  Looking at the lengths some of these posts go to try and prove a completely baseless point demonstrates to me how people get railroaded in the court systems.  Nothing but empty holier-than-thou speculation.  Geezus.

OMG....so much ^^this^^
Why do we need him?  He didn't get on board anyways.  Dude, we've all been hyped by Gus Juice.  And this guy never even bought in.  Why would anyone try to defend him?

He needs to prove himself to us.

I just don't get why we have to hope he turns things around.

He should be a choir boy.  He's about to lose his ticket on the Shad Train.  Blackmon isn't even that much of a prospect.  I'm sorry, he's not a player that will burn us if we trade him.  He's just not that special.  Plus, you know... he's pretty much provided us plenty of examples that he's not gonna be a Player for us.

Just let him go.

And by letting him go, I don't mean cut him.  I mean don't get emotionally fixated on him.  He's not gonna be a contributor to the success of the New JAGUARS.

We're moving forward.  He's not moving fast enough.  Maybe he can figure it out.

My opinion is that he won't.

Quote:Being a night owl and going to chill places is one thing. Getting into trouble is another thing.

The dude is dumb. Don't care about what type of talent he has. He's just dumb.

Yeah, great he's sober. But he still decided to put himself into a position that isn't beneficial for his career.

I don't know Blackmon. But I have a feeling he has nobody in his life that he respects. I kinda feel sorry for him. I've known alot of dudes just like him that can't figure out how to stay out of trouble.

Just hang out. Just stay where you're at. But Blackmon doesn't seem to be able to do that. If trouble finds you on a consistent basis, it's not trouble that's at fault.

IT IS YOU

You're right...you called him dumb, not a drunk. Everything else was spot on what you said about him...

Why is it that you keep saying that he was out "partying" when you have absolutely no proof to that fact?
Quote:Feel free to expand.  I'm not sure I understand exactly what  you mean.

I'm giving you my opinion.  I've said it before about Blackmon when he was suspended during the bye week.  I'm not a fan of this player.  And I'm not willing to give him the benefit of any doubt.

The dude had multiple opportunities.  He's failed multiple times.  He's got himself in trouble now.  Why would anyone think he should be entitled to some additional privilege?

Trade him.  Get him out of here.

My Expansion goes a little like this...

How does having a blown out tire that causes you to hit a guard rail places you in the category of being troublesome. Yes he's had issues in the past but this incident as reported hasn't added to those issues. What some people do is derive a Negative Mind Set that he's guilty regardless of his innocence...

...He has tires that blow out?
Quote:If you had common sense it would have told you that it's none of your business to begin with.
I don't have a "right to know" what he was doing.  I do, however, have a right to ask what he was doing.  When you ask fans to support the team, support the player, buy the ticket and the jersey, etc., you have to anticipate the questions.  The answer I do or do not receive may affect my opinion of the character of the player.  I may then choose not to buy that players jersey for my son.  It's that simple.

The point I've been making (which you appear unable to comprehend) is that if he was doing nothing wrong, why not say so, put the media speculation to rest and be done with it.  It's simply good PR, which he could certainly use.

Bolded:  Ever watch Foot Loose?

LOL

I know, I know, You are a night owl.

Can I give you a bit of insight.  I've been a 23 year old guy.  If it's after 11PM and we're out.  We're out partying.  It's a scientific fact.

If you want to deny that, it's cool  You're right I cannot prove anything about what exactly happened.  But I do have some common sense. And I also have a bit of real life experience.

If I'm wrong and Blackmon was actually at a Church during  the time I will absolutely eat any crow you wish to put my way.
Thankfully,  no one got killed or seriously injured from the accident.

So he's either partying...or at a church thing. Extreme much?

I assume you have a car.  I drive all the time.

I've never been in a situation where I blew out my tire and hit a guard rail.  But I guess pro athletes that have exceptional talent have pretty bad luck...

Sorry, I just don't buy it.  Maybe I'm a curmudgeon on this one...

I'm just done with this dude.  Plus, I still can't get over the Green Bay game.  He's not worth this headache.  He's just not worth it.  Get him traded

Oh come on.  Stop being so literal.

If I were to use your logic, I guess I could just say he's a drunk and anything he does is because he's an alcoholic.

Oh... Wait... I might just have a point...
Dude, I don't want to be that jerk on the MB.

I'm sorry to be argumentative.  I just don't see why we should defend this guy so much.

A LIL LOUDER "Bchbunnie4", I don't think that they can hear you... LOL...

What? Wait-A-Min...

Did I just Laugh Out Loud??? CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW???

In high school I was in a car with a friend. We were driving down a two lane road when a dog ran into the road. He swerved to miss the dog, overcorrected and we ended up in a ditch. When the cops came, he had to take a sobriety test and they grilled him about there actually being a dog. It took probably over an hour but the cops let him go with no charges.

I told him next time, just hit the dog.

Honestly, I don't care what he does off the field so long as he doens't hurt anyone else.
Quote:Thankfully,  no one got killed or seriously injured from the accident.

Agreed.  Now let's just dump this guy and get a WR that Caldwell and Bradley want.

He did nothing wrong. Why does someone have to come out and say they've done nothing wrong whenever they do nothing wrong? He isn't being charged with anything. There is nothing to explain.

Just because you spend money on the jags, doesn't mean you have a right to his personal life. No more than you have the right to know what the cashier at the grocery store is doing if she has an accident at 3:30 in the morning or who she is with even if that means you will take your business elsewhere.

They make things for people like you. They call them restraining orders.
