Quote:How few seasons has he played?
BTW, your conceidence is somewhat acknowledged... Somewhat...
NH3...
What? Dude, come on. Try better than that...
He's sat more games than he's played, and he's only been in 2 years. Just stop arguing if that's all you got.
Quote:How does he become a huge motivation? If he comes to the team, he'll be a distraction for the entire year. In my opinion, if/when he comes back everyone teammate will be asked about how he's doing and how they are responding to him.
It's a simple distraction, no doubt. You can easily can a response to that. But it's still something that every team-mate will worry about. How soon before Blackmon falls off the wagon.
His 3 AM "accident" doesn't help that narrative, does it?
His 3 A.M. accident won't help his Narrative but his On The Fields Action will. If/when B14CKMON puts up Eye Popping numbers do you really think that his team mates will consider him to be a distraction provided that he continues to be a Model Player?
C'Mon Man, do you Really feel that B14CKMON isn't worth the rewards?

Fighting through adversity and overcoming an addiction shows toughness, resolve, and the ability to overcome self doubt. All of these things are powerful tools in life and on the football field. Doing this would be an inspiration to all those around him.
Quote:Because that dud displayed top 3 receiving talent and because there's no point in releasing him or shipping him anywhere since his potential is still more valuable than the picks we'd get back?
If he's not gonna be on the field, what's the point?
I'd rather trade him now while he still seems like a prospect then let him bring down our team.
But that's just me.
I apparently am in the minority on this one. But that's OK
Quote:He's been on the team for two years and he's been eligible to play for 15% of that.
He's under the microscope of the league and he's out carelessly driving at 3:30 in the morning. This comes only a week after being photographed at a party with alcohol around. Dude is an idiot. I for one am done waiting around for him to get his act together.
You feel free to be as naive as you like.
15%?
Out of 32 possible games, he has played 20. That is 62.5%. But we're naive, right? Why don't you actually use facts instead of emotions.

They would be an inspiration; let us know if and when he accomplishes it.

SERIOUSLY DUDE!!!
That's All I've Got... SMH...

I'm sure he was out partying and didn't maintain the correct tire pressure!!!

That's something that has rung true so far, but something we don't know for sure.
What if he does get his stuff together and we've already traded him for a 4th rounder? Then we'll be kicking ourselves.
Like I said, I'd rather let him rot on the depth chart than go to another team and succeed. Call it selfish, but I'm sure he understands how long we've been waiting for a receiver like him.
Produce here or don't. It's that simple. But yeah, I can see where you're coming from. But if you didn't hold this stance before this incident, then you're letting a non-news story push you over the line.

He could do all that and donate a kidney in his spare time and it still wouldn't be enough for some.

I will if you guys don't lynch him first for staying up too late.

Some of these posters aren't maintaining the correct Head Pressure as well...

Kidney? I'm thinking more along the Heart aspect...
Kidney... LOL...
Ohhhhh Lord, I did it again...

I agree with this. If Jacksonville can't have him then certainly don't let someone else have him.
Quote:Wow! You've got your panties in a serious bunch.
If you had read my post before your rant you would have noticed I said "I don't have a "right to know" what he was doing. I do, however, have a right to ask what he was doing." Again, I suggest you read the 1st Amendment if you feel this comment rises to a level sufficient to support the issuance of a restraining order.
For about the 7th time, I never said he did anything wrong. I never even said he was being stupid for being out at that time. His reason(s) make be quite acceptable. I'm simply saying that if all is innocent, he's stupid for not simply addressing it, ending the speculation and being done with it.
Yes, you have a right to ask what he was doing. Just like I have a right to ask inappropriate questions as well. The KKK has the right to assemble. Just because you have the "right" to do something, doesn't make it right. Prying into someone else's rights because you have 1st amendment protections is very low-class and gutter.
If you don't see how 5th amendment protections apply to traffic stops you need to take a class at your local community college on constitutional law. Any vehicle stop is considered a seizure supported by reasonable suspicion that a crime has taken place. If you didn't need that 5th amendment protection, any cop could stop you at any time on whim and search everything you own without you having any say. I'm sure you'd be crying for your 5th amendment rights when a cop decides your significant other needs a strip search in the middle of Beach Boulevard because there is a possibility she could be hiding drugs... but she has nothing to hide.

It's like Holy Cow! What a bunch of want a be Nazis.
"I pay for a ticket you must conform to my will" These idiots need to get over themselves.
