With that  coverage, most NFL WR1's could do the same thing above. ....and even some WR2's.

Its almost like you interpret me saying that Watkins is slow or something.....and I'm not saying that. He's is fast. "Elite" fast? No. He's still not a player the Jags or any other team should be taking as high as 3.
Quote:LIke who? I never ever said LeFeavor jumped off the screen. So, who are you talking about?

Quote:dude......Joe Montana has a PEA SHOOTER of an arm compared to LeFevour's....

If Montana's arm is "accused of being average" ....as you word it.....then LeFevour at WORST has "average" arm strength.

Quote:I just hope Gene goes to LeFevour's pro day or brings him in like he did Sanchez, last year.

I'm telling you, LeFevour will be a first rate QB at the pro level. He's got "it".

And of course, this QB also had "it"... http://forums.prosportsdaily.com/showthr...st18837496
Quote:What is funny about the GIF's is

....the coverage.
Quote:Sorry, but Elite football speed is what players like Fred Taylor, Steve Smith, Deion Sanders and such, had...their timed speeds were fast enough, but when you saw them play, their football speed seemed to have an extra gear.

Sammy Watkins football speed actually does reflect his 4.43 speed. Thats a tier down from players like the above.

That extra .02 really makes a difference between he and Steve Smith...

The Player #5 for UVA in that shot is Tim Harris. He went to High School at Varina and ran a 4.48 40 prior to College. Watkins beat the guy even though he had the angle on him.

None of that is me gushing about physical attributes of LeFevour. Comparing him vs another QB who also had a weak arm is not "gushing" about arm strength. It was an attempt to show that arm strength for a QB was overrated. And it still is, despite LeFeavor not panning out.

It does when that .02 in timed speed difference, jumps up to like at least .10 difference in actual game speed in Steve Smith's favor...

womp womp womp
I really can't remember a wr who just lowers his pad level and flat out runs a db or lb over. Sammy is special he doesn't have Andre Johnson size but that's the type of wr I think he will be

Again your eye for everything football is awful. They both have game breaking speed that's all that matters

The Safety in this play is Vonn Bell, the Fourth Ranked Safety in the Nation in 2013. He ran a 4.45 prior to College.

Yet you have no qualms about a QB whose offense schemes the WRs wide open... :whistling:

Watkins beats his coverage routinely.

No... you didn't say he would be an NFL star.  Sweep that entirely under the rug.

There comes a point where you should just stop, throw in the towel, and stop embarassing yourself.  A simple "my bad" can keep this kind of nonsense from snowballing into an entire court jester routine (as it typically does.)

And look at the Ohio State game, how he has to slow down and come back for the ball.
Quote:Blackmon has some of the best YAC moves and plays that I have ever seen. He just does them after deeper routes which is a big reason why he was a much more proficient scorer than Watkins.

Watkins is an excellent YAC guy but he won't be able to do than in the NFL so close to the line of scrimmage.

The fact that he didn't run many intermediate routes could just be the scheme or it could be due to the fact that the coaches knew he wasn't that good at those routes. He is a superior athlete.

Just give him the ball ASAP and let him make plays on the inferior college players he faces. He won't have that type of advantage at the next level. He may have a hard time adjusting. I just don't see him at #3.

GOOD POST.

Quote:I'll bet you that Sammy Watkins will be a better WR than Troy Niklas will be a TE.

I'll take that bet. sig bet?

Quote:Dude is slow as molasses.

Said no one.

You're right.  Dude is slow as average molasses.

Sig bets?  What are you?  13?  Oh, wait.  That's just what you aspire to be.  It makes that Bieber obsession of yours a little less creepy.

Your mom has the meatloaf reheated for you.  Better get a good meal before your shift starts.  You know how dangerous it is running a deep frier with low blood sugar.

No, we're enjoying it.

By my count, and assuming that the gif is in realtime, Watkins ran ~30 yards downfield while in press coverage in under six seconds. That's kind of amazing when you think about it.

Oh, what are we supposed to be betting on a family board? 5000 large???

A sig bet is fine.
HEY MAAA!  CAN WE GET A MEATLOAF?!

Yes, Predator is the bee's knees when it comes to WR evaluation for sure.

Regarding Reggie Williams:

Quote:As much as people want to call him out as an underachiever, that guy has a lot of heart. He has talent, work ethic, and heart. Baring injury, he'll be a probowler one day. Maybe only a time or two, but you just can't work at your game like he does and it not pay off for you eventually.
