Quote:I don't know about Watkins at 3.  If you take Watkins at 3, that's a lot of projecting you are doing for him.  He has #3 potential, but his body of work is late 1st.  He just screams boom/bust to me.  You could end up with a dynamic playmaker or you could end up with Ted Ginn Jr.  I view Watkins as more of a luxury pick.
I don't think he ends up like Ted Ginn, because he hasn't had trouble holding on to the football. Ginn had that problem in college and it followed him to the NFL. He got drafted in the first round because of his athletic ability not his football ability.

Watkins doesn't have that problem. The WR who is most likely to be a first round bust (even though, he may fall to second) is Kelvin Benjamin. He dropped alot of balls. But I don't think teams will ignore his size and speed.

I am very intrigued by the possibility of us drafting Watkins. He is definitely a true number 1, meaning he is going to get his numbers pretty much regardless of who is back there at QB (yes I think he is that kind of playmaker)...

Right now my board for when we pick goes Clowney, Watkins, Manziel. Thats the order in which I want us to draft at this moment.

Watkins, Shorts III, Blackmon and Sanders.

HOW DOES A DEFENSE HANDLE THAT?

You can't, son. Ya just can't.

Depends who the QB is.
This wr class is very deep, no reason to take watkins at 3rd. I think a guy like Moncrief is just as good or even better and can be had in the 2nd

NFL.com 's Bucky Brooks & Daniel Jeremiah mock Watkins to Jags. This view is much more mainstream than it was a couple of months ago. If Clowney goes before #3, I think Dave picks Mack or Watson if he can't find any trade-down partners.

During the Senior Bowl Jeremiah mocked Watkins to the Rams. The last mock I saw gave us Manziel.

Ask the LOB if they would handle that weak lineup. All of them are midgets. Shorts is a cry baby, Justin is a drunk, Sanders is a micro-midget, and Watkins is just a very fast speed midget.

Stop trolling. None of those claims are accurate.

I think the one about JB is.
BAP at #3 is looking Watkins or Mack more and more......

By killing the QB.

Justin Blackmon is a drunk that burned a Super Bowl defense with Chad Henne forcing him the ball on every play.

He is in rehab. When a person is in rehab, he is not drunk.

That's one of my biggest issues with taking him.  This draft is stacked with WRs, but not as much with guys like Mack or Clowney.  If we don't get a QB, I can't see us going any other position other than a pass rusher.

If Dave wants to trade back at #3, the Jets may be interested in trading up to give Geno a potent weapon. Cleveland or Oakland might want to trade up as well.

Trading back to #19 is WAY too far to move down.

Depends on what we get in return. For the #19 pick, their second round and their 4th I'd do it easily.
Donte Moncrief just ran a 4.35 at 6'3 220..im back on the Moncrief train. Take QB or De anything first

Hell no that's not even close to what they would need to give up to move up to #3
I would be fine with Watkins at #3.
