Quote:FYI, Gil Brandt was just on with the guys on 1010XL, and he disagrees that Bradley is in over his head. In fact, Brandt, who knows a thing or two about being successful in the NFL, called Bradley a special coach who is going to be a good one in this league. He said that the team is still dealing with mistakes made in the draft 3,4, and even 5 years ago, but they're headed in the right direction with their approach.
I sure hope he's right.....
These games are getting ridiculous .

I did not hear the segment, but taking this at face value, I agree completely with the sentiment.
I think with all of the receivers healthy (or at least close to it), we'll get some glimpses of the potential this passing game has this weekend.
If the guys are healthy and we line up in 4 WR sets, we'll win some matchups and be difficult to defend if Bortles gets protection.
Bradley keep refereing to himself as a "developmental coach". Does that mean once he's developed the new talent, they will bring in a "real coach" to win games?

I know right? I can't believe it's actually taking more than a season to rebuild this team. What in the heck is taking so long??? I can rebuild a team in Madden in like twenty minutes.

That's a big 'if'.
If the stars are all in proper alignment.... if CSIII can make it a whole game without gimping out... if Hurns (and the rest of our receiving corps) can catch the ball.... if our o-line can block.... if we can get a semblance of a running game going now since it looks like Toby is out of the way at least for this game... if our defense can get some turn overs... if Blake can make it a whole game without throwing a 'pick six'.... if we can get into the end zone instead of kicking field goals.... if Fisch will let Blake go down field more often than short passes...
I hope for a win this Sunday; it 'may' be our best shot this season, given the way things have gone so far; but, I'm not holding my breath any more where the Jaguars are concerned this year.

Cool man. Thanks for your input! Totally missed the point but thats ok.
Didn't say I expected to win but being competitive would be nice. 6 wins in the last 37 games blows.

Heard the Clip on 1010XL this morning at 6:45am on the way to work. Ask them to replay it.
Jeff is leaving, he's going back to the NCAA. And your right, let Blake do what he wants. he cant lose anymore games, and this season is totally lost since week 3. So why not let him call his own plays and lead this team We cant loose anymore and maybe just maybe we'll win one.
I'll call Khan here and let him know my decision.
Go My Kitty Cats ! :woot:

I know right? It does blow. I'd rather have won at least 35 or 36 games over that stretch and have a hard time figuring out why we haven't. All they have to do is trade away all the bad players for good ones. Don't they understand that?

No one is expecting to be worldbeaters, Frailbones' frustration is the same as I have. We suck. We suck hard. And we have sucked hard for a long time. It sucks to suck. It's not ok to suck.

You need to rebuild your brain cell activity.

You're probably right. The 90% of fans who think you can rebuild a team in one year must have rubbed off on me a little. I'll try to struggle my way back towards some objectivity ASAP.

I agree it sucks to suck. The current administration is not responsible for the ills of the past. Remind yourself that we're essentially a second year expansion team paying it's dues. Caldwell is making the right moves but he didn't have the advantages Coughlin did in 95 and 96.

It might be kind of hard considering your posting history.
Rebuilding since 2002 should be the Jags mission statement according to you.

I agree Caldwell is making the right moves. However, I do expect us to be competitive when on the field. We haven't been.

Well, we haven't been for the first 4 games, last game was nice to see.. It's possible that this team is compared to a diesel engine.. Gotta turn the key and let the glow plugs warm up for 4 games before ya start it..

I agree. Our bar as Jags fans is not set incredibly high. Mediocrity seems to be unachievable. I'm not even looking for that. What I'm looking for is to be a bad team. Currently, we are a historically bad team. Improving to be just plain bad would be a step in the right direction.

Come on seriously? I'm one of the few people with any objectivity at all around this place. Prime example: you blame the failed seasons since 2002 on Caldwell. Whatever.
And anyway, we have been rebuilding since 2008, there was some success in the 5 years between 2002 and 2007.
