Quote:Let's get this thread back on topic.  Is Bradley in over is head?  To me, I think he's learning.  Unfortunately, how do you tell if a coach is doing well?  Halftime adjustments are a good indicator.  Until we see some adjustments that work and stop getting obliterated after halftime, the jury is still out.

But that's my opinion.  If y'all wanna comment on the topic go ahead....or we can just have this continual cat fight between TMD and FBT.

I think he demonstrated what a good coach he is in the second half of last year.  Keeping the players on track and demonstrating leadership are the most important qualities in a head coach.  Scheme is a factor too obviously but that is also partly the coordinators.  Success executing the scheme is up to the players.  I have no doubt Bradley is a good coach and the success we all want will come soon.

I doubt you're going to see any real success with Fisch and Babich as the Coordinators.

The games they won last year were fools gold for the most part. That 7 game stretch was one of the easiest you'll ever come across in a 16 game NFL schedule. The Texans were a dead team walking as Kubiak was essentially a lame duck (and eventually canned). The Titans were and still are horrible. and Cleveland?? They also have been one of the worst franchises in the league since they rejoined it.

This team really hasn't had a single impressive/ quality win since Bradley got here.

Even MULARKEY beat the Colts who went on to be a playoff team that year.

Boy, you got that right. How the heck he ever got (and more amazingly) has retained, moderator status is an indictment of this site, it's other moderators, and the team's PR people. Numerous daily ad hominem attacks on members for no reason other than being critical of the team.

Leave aside the literally thousands of useless, off-topic comments. It really is too bad this forum escaped the housecleaning we have seen elsewhere in the organization.

FBT having moderator status on here is a complete joke, and it is an embarrassment to the organization as a whole.

Good thing we play the tacks, Browns and Texans coming up soon!

We'll see.  Bradley is big on accountability so as the players progress, if production doesn't follow suit, you'd think he'd be willing to entertain a change.  I have more confidence in Fisch than I have in Babich.  I think Fisch is suffering a little bit because he's trying to make a complex offense accessible to the rookies.  In my opinion, he's better off throwing the book at them and letting them sink or swim.

The Tacks? Yes...

The Texans have O Brien now, who is looking every bit the quality head coach I thought he was. Those 2 games won't be gimmes like last year. Still winnable because of Fitz, but not "gimmes". And the Cleveland game? Thats a toss up. Maybe Johnny Football will be starting by then.

17 points, 14 points, 9 points....

The trend should be going in the other direction.

We better hope Bortles don't get ruined under this novice.
You're basing your assessment of the long-term Fisch/Bortles relationship on 2.5 games, and claiming that they're doomed to failure because Bortles was unable to score progressively more points with an absolutely horrible team around him? If it were a season-long trend, I'd give you that, but it's two freaking games. Two.

Stick to flipping burgers. Your skills as a football analyst are lacking.

I'm sure the organization is just cowering in shame.

Exactly.  Apparently being around all that grease makes some folks far better at evaluating and judging talent in the NFL than those who do the job daily.

But didn't you used to say the same thing when Gene was here? That he was far better at this job than anyone on this board? Which is clearly not true because anyone could have done a better job than him just going off of Kipers big board and his big board is terrible.

With the way Hoyer has been playing lately?

The team is not absolutely horrible around him. So tired of this lie. The roster is much improved from what it was 2 years ago. The coaching however, still sucks.

He always takes the side of team management and their latest decisions.

Hoyer's first slip up and Manziel is in there. They gotta be itching to start him by now.

I'd still contend that Gene Smith was probably a far better scout than anyone on this board.  Doesn't mean he was a good personnel guy.  He felt he needed to show everyone he was the smartest guy in the room, so he'd draft outliers that, had they panned out, would have backed him up.  Didn't happen, and he's gone, but feel free to cling to that if it makes you happy.

BTW, isn't it ironic that you accuse me of hijacking this thread, and you bring up Gene Smith?  Hypocrite much?

That is funny.

Aside from running the ball, what does Houston do good?
So...........is Bradley in over his head?

Apparently stay within a TD of the colts.....

No, but some of his rookies certainly are.

They already have more wins this season then they had all of last season.

O Brien > Bradley
