Just a little bit of disbelief that he would be considered "destined to be a head coach in the league at some point." Exactly what has he done? I'm not going to jump on board with those that hate him, but he needs to prove himself in order to be considered a head coaching candidate I would think.
Quote:Brandt also said that Fisch is a tremendous coach, and a guy that is destined to be a head coach in the league at some point.
LOL, so?....
Does this Brandt have a track record of recent correct predictions???

Now that he has his QB, let's see how things change over the next several games.

He's had his QB for 2.5 games now....
17 points, 14 points, 9 points....
The trend should be going in the other direction.
We better hope Bortles don't get ruined under this novice.

You're about as predictable as water following the path of least resistance. In fact, that's pretty much how your brain operates. There's no deep thought going on there.
Brandt has a track record for being far more experienced with building teams, hiring coaches, and developing championship caliber teams. I wouldn't expect you to do anything but disregard his opinion because that's what you do.

He was the Cowboys chief talent scout from 1960 to 1988. Up until Jones bought the Cowboys..

I'm aware of Brandts past accomplishments.
I'll ask again, what is Brandts recent track record in predictions?? Does it help his Fisch prediction or not?

You're genuinely ridiculous. 2.5 games is nothing. He's had his QB for 2.5 games. In that time, he's had 2 changes to the offensive line, and they've had to shuffle their receiving corps. The majority of the receivers are rookies. He's also lost his starting TE and his best receiver to injury.
To think Bortles is going to be playing at an all pro level based on where he's at in his development, and with all of the changes taking place around him is utterly moronic. Not a shock at all considering the source.

Is Google broken in the office at Mickey D's?

Um, this isn't news. I know who he is. I asked if his RECENT track record of predictions is one that gives confidence in his Fisch declaration or not.

Based on his career, he's far more qualified to make that assessment than say, a fry cook.

Given the way you referred to him as "This Brandt" implied that you didn't know who he was.

Honestly, he probably doesn't have a clue. Would that really be a shock?

Who's saying that Bortles should be playing at all pro level right now? I'd be happy with the 17, 14, & 9, and 9.3 YPA, 7.8 & 5.5 trending the opposite way.
You constantly have to misrepresent peoples words/ takes. Because you can't take it that we're right.
I have some serious doubts about this team now that I never thought I'd experience with this staff. Bradley seemed like the kind of coach that would pump some new life into this team and organization but there is nothing to indicate that we are going to be a good team much less a great team under this regime. We have some guys who can make some plays on game day and all I see is the same repetitive mistakes and bad game management and play calling on both sides of the ball. So far all I'm seeing is Gus singing praises of a winless team and how we're showing up and have spirit. That doesn't mean crap in the NFL. You either get it done or you don't... and thus far, he is failing on an epic scale.

The burden of proof doesn't lie with me, I wasn't the one offering Brandt's opinions to back Fisch.

Bortles is playing exactly how you'd expect a rookie QB to play in his first few starts. Some good, some bad.
You're the one panning his output with your obsession over his YPA average (which ignores the plethora of drops). I know math class is difficult for some. Clearly you struggled.
I'd be happy to score above 20....Considering that 26 of the 32 teams are averaging 20+ a game, I don't consider that a lofty goal...yet we haven't accomplished that once this year.

I worded it that way because lets face it, he's a dinosaur at this point.

Oh really? Look at Russell Wilson's first 3 games, and Andrew Luck's they didn't trend worse each game in their first 3.
My issue is Bortles is trending backwards in every game. Thats on coaching.
LOL and every NFL QB suffers drops, FBT.....not just Bortles.
