keep posting this drivel. I am sure you are winning folks over with this well-thought defense.

anybody who references a "man card" probably isn't much of a man.

Maybe instead of grinding college girls he should be grinding in the office to try and help this team earn a win.

Not going to deny the man time off. Sure, he's making a disgusting amount of scratch to do his job, but there is no way anyone should be expected to spend 24-7 busting their brains trying to find that one thing that is going to magically turn this team into a winner. (spoiler, that one thing probably isn't even there to be found)

If he needed a night off, take a night off. If he wanted a tasty beverage, go somewhere and enjoy a tasty beverage. You want to see a band, go see a band. If you end up somewhere that folks are invading your privacy, trying to grind on you, putting any manner of drinks laced with who knows what in front of you while doing any of those, you're either a willing participant or you need to relocate yourself immediately.

In an of itself, this has next to no impact on our current or future wins and losses. Spending 3 more hours a week in the film room might, but if that leads to burnout or exhaustion, it may be more detriment than help. All we can do is hope that this or other distractions are not a trend or sign of things to come, and that Urbz is wise enough to be able to know how much effort is needed without being too much to lead this team well.
I think we all want Urban to succeed (Well most of us) because if he does, spoiler alert, the Jags are good!

However, there have been numerous faults up until this point and it just looks really bad. If this was his only bad move and the Jags were 3-1 or even 2-2, I think it's portrayed differently. But if I was the head coach and I just lost a heart breaker on TNF to go 0-4, I'm busting my butt to find any solutions against the tacks. I'm also sure that really good coaches in this league, would do the same.

Obviously not someone with a public image to defend... or probably anything of worth to defend.

The gentleman says, "No pictures, at all. If you give my associate your cellphone, we can go to the back room; alone."

Plausible deniability. You'd think he'd learn by now.....

I've always thought Meyer was a weasel, with Florida and Ohio State. But this situation kinda smells to me.

even if you don't push away, turn the stool around and face the bar for a few minutes, get up and walk around, anything, if you are not wanting someone occupying your space in that way.

Good advise but people drinking often lack good judgement and find themselves in such a position.

As for the grinding video, I'm not sure that much can be concluded. Is it possible that Urbz had thrown down a few beers and was relaxing with friends, and blondie started backing it up on him while she was dancing and he wasn't sure how to immediately respond without embarrassing her? Seems he was smart enough to keep his arms between the girl and his groin. If he was really participating I would think he would have moved his arms away.

Regardless, I can't blame the man for wanting to have a little R&R. Just because we've lost 4 games, doesn't mean he hasn't been working, or that he's squandering study time by having a night out with friends. We had a Thursday night game, so there was an opportunity to decompress a little bit before getting back to work. Hope that the fans and media don't continue to blow it out of proportion. If Urban were to be let go, or decide to resign, I feel like that becomes a setback for Trevor and the team.

now that I watched a video over and over again this was a total setup... person just "happens"  to be recording Meyer from a distance at the exact time the girl goes up and grinds in front of him... and then the video cuts off eruptly... it's more like watch this record me... I want my 10 sec of fame... is there any other videos or pictures of them doing anything afterwards no...exactly

friend, gonna make this as simple as possible.

I am married, and quite happily so. I go to bars, and enjoy tipping a few back while I am there. I often go with friends, and rarely as a couple with my spouse. I enjoy live music in all sorts of venues.

I am not a public figure, nor do I make several millions of dollars, or own a restaurant and/or lounge.

I've been to plenty a crowded venue in the past.

If I ever find myself in a situation where someone approaches me, touches me, or takes it further than that, my IMMEDIATE reaction is to distance. IMMEDIATE.

Even before COVID.

I may not be wired like everyone. But even if say this girl was rubbed up two seconds before someone got the camera rolling, the next five seconds of video is going to be more than just putting a hand in front of my junk if I'm in Urbz' position. Set up or not, you're being obtuse if you say he wasn't aware, not completely opposed, or worse to the whole scene.

Cripes, if you own the joint you ask that person politely to give you some space. They don't? I'm sure there's a heavy on the payroll that can lead her to the door.

Are you suggesting that the right thing for Myer to do is refuse a selfie and suggest the woman go to the back room with him.  If so that is the worst advice I have ever heard to address the situation.

I was hoping it was sarcastic enough to be obvious I was joking.

The man is just terrible at everything except telling kids what to do.

eh, maybe, but it begs the question. How many seconds is too many seconds to realize that not only is someone grinding against you, but you don't want them grinding against you?

well I'm glade to here you were just being sarcastic but with the crap flowing on social media it is hard to tell the difference.  As for you second comment I might ask how well do you know Meyer to assess how terrible the man is?  Do you socialize with him, are you friends with him or just commenting with no facts to base it no,

No facts? You should read up on the man's sordid history sometime.

yep - I just want to see the whole thing to really get a sense for what happened. Especially since she also put out the still of her posing with Meyer voluntarily and talking about him flirting. It just stinks like an attention grab.

Not saying you are wrong but I tend to judge people on personal contact as apposed to the many articles that may or may not be true.  If the articles are based on concrete facts then one has to consider their position and feelings about the person.  It is often hard to separate the wheat from the chaff  when so much lies and distortions are found in the media today. One must be very careful about what they perceive as
true when reading articles or social media.
I love that transition that Meyer tried to pull off about 2:30 minutes in to steer the conversation away from this past weekend. He immediately started talking about the Bengals game. Not the smoothest transition....he had to try though, I'll give him that.

Big Grin
He’s apologized per PFT
I ended up dating 3 chicks at once a long time ago.. I took one out for breakfast, one out for lunch and one out for dinner. I got to do the dirty 3 times that day..

I apologize..
