Good.. I think Meyer should at least get 2 years to prove himself, unless there's a catastrophic collapse in the near future..
Plus it will make for some extreme entertainment around here with these crying soyboy Jag fans..
The season is still young. Try to enjoy it while it lasts. It will fly by. Let's go jags!!!

Seems there's quite a bit of NFL experience in the list at the link, the idea that just because the head guy is a clueless newb doesn't mean they are without experience. At least enough to understand who the best player is and how to prepare your team to line up properly on the first play of the year.

a 1-15 team... being taken over by a completely new staff... a rookie quarterback... and giving them more than five games to get it together is not an excuse and not making stuff up... it's kind of common sense... and then making up lies that I'm a Tebow fan is kind of comical... The only person here That's clueless is you.... not once did I say that urban was perfect or he didn't make mistakes... but I'm smart enough to give the guy more than five games... The difference is you wanted him gone on day one for whatever reason... maybe you don't like the college teams he coached... but there's more of an underlying issue here with you.... Urban lives rent-free in your head and for some reason you got to stick up your [BLEEP] about it... to the point you would be willing to say if he brought us five super bowls you'd still hate him and want him gone... That's clown talk.. You got some issues

Right, you got all your built in excuses and he just keeps embarrassing this franchise. Yeah, I've got issues, and what I have issues with and keep saying is a problem keeps being an issue and a problem, and will keep being such so long as Meyer is involved here. Of course you still had zero positives to contribute in your post, you just toss insults at me for reminding you of the facts.

As long as that little logo on his shirt is a Jaguar that guy will be content with Urbz no matter how pathetic he's performing or how awful a person he is.
That's not true but I'm going to give him more than five games.... I'm going to give him a chance especially after inheriting a 1-15 team and a rookie quarterback....You guys wanted him out on day one... and all of you expected us to come out and start winning games lol how unrealistic is that... but if the guy turns it around and we start winning games... going to the playoffs possibly winning super bowls and you still want to throw him under the bus and get rid of him... then yeah that's extremely moronic
I think my biggest problem around here is when a poster thinks one or two on the board is "you guys".
The vast majority on here, whether in favor of the hire or not, was willing to give the benefit of the doubt to see if there was some method to the madness, myself included. And go back to the preseason record thread, I hardly think "all of us" were expecting a ton of wins. But please keep painting with that broad brush, hyperbole is great for making your point.
I just think that at this point in the season, a lot of that benefit of the doubt has wore off. Too much negative not offset by positives. Patience has elapsed for some, understandably. Others' lines in the sand may be shorter than yours. Cool. Let's revisit this when the hypothetical supers bowl are reality. For now, though, that seems like the remotest possibility imaginable, no matter how much benefit of the doubt you wish to afford our staff.

I don't think you understand anything.
Urban is a bad person. He. Is. A. Bad. Person. From the criminal activities he ignored at UF, to the shady activities at OSU protecting a man that abused his wife - then he hires a racist, a KNOWN racist, like it's no big deal. He's just a bad person that doesn't care about anything but himself.
Now, you can ignore his awful past if you want to. I do not. He's also a GOD-AWFUL coach at the NFL level. He's a recruiter, and he's just not very smart to boot. So, he would never even sniff the playoffs much less a superbowl. But even if he miraculously gets his own head of his [BLEEP] and wins something - I'd still not like him because HE'S A BAD PERSON.

My biggest fear?
Think back to the Gabbert era. Think back to the Bortles era. Heck, even look at the Minshew tenure, once the luster wore off. Look at the time Coughlin was back. This team has a lot of give up in them over the years, once confidence wanes, they stop putting effort forth. Now we have a capable QB, but if the team again is infected by doubt and insecurity, do we just repeat the cycle when nobody believes in their coaches?
I don't think the team has given up on Meyer - yet. We need to experience success, and that's not necessarily a win. It can be a good call on 4th and 2. It can be a pick that is caused by a blitz package. It can be a long run against a winded D. It can be a close loss. I don't want to say "2 years minimum" if year one fails to show that we are any more prepared in week 11 as we were in week 1. The team will have a feel for that preparedness, and their confidence will rise or ebb based on that feeling.
