It's just another thing to add to the list of things many of us didn't like about the person Urban Meyer.
This is the sort of stuff people were worried about and yet we were just jaded gator fans.
I'm not surprised something happened. Something always happens with Urbz. Dude is just a douche of a person.
That all being said if we win I won't be eating any words. Players win the games. When we have enough talent we'll win. Don't care if it's Urbz, baloney, ice cream, or old man coughing.
I don't need the coach to be a boy scout. Just be a fricking coach.
So when we lose it’s his fault, but if we win it’s all to the players. Got it.
Urban literally said that hahaha
It’s all on the players and leaders of this team.

Do you all not think that in a normal game week there isn't a day of rest between Monday and Saturday?
If you bust your hump and put in tons of OT to get a project done at work, do you not take a breather when the job is done?
Y'all must be robits.
The Jags are 0-4 and play a division rival.
Let me ask you this. What do you think Belicheck, Andy Reid, Sean Payton or McVay would be doing after a loss like that?
recuperating from a short week, too. That may not mean partying at your own bar, but I imagine McVay is gonna catch a breath after last night's game. Thursdays make for a long nights because the turnaround time is much shorter than a normal week.
I would assert that top coaches like the ones you name are likely to be extensive creatures of habit. Their weeks are probably extremely structured, their sleep planned, and their work intentional. A mid week game skews that whole sense of order, and likely requires routine to be broken. If that comes at the expense of sleep, rest, or diet, it only follows that an experienced coach would be fully aware of how they function and know when to put nose to the grindstone and when to hit the links or take time for family or catch some z's. If they told the entire team Friday was a day off, they'd likely be taking Friday off as planned. Why would anyone think otherwise?
My issue has never, ever been Urbz taking a breather, and it's goofy that everyone thinks any coach with a losing record should be 24/7 studying film, playbooks, contracts or whatever else is part of the responsibility a coach takes on or that expending that much effort is going to be the difference between winning an losing. Skipping the time on the plane robbed him of debriefing, access to his team, and the ability to hold his players to the same disciplinary standard of "everyone on the plane", and for that he should be criticized.
Taking time away to recharge batteries is perfectly fine. What Urbz chose to do to unwind probably wasn't the best way to unwind, whether cameras were rolling or not. We have no idea what Urbz did with his time while the team returned home, the next morning/afternoon, or on his return trip home. For all we know, he spent the entire time agonizing over the thumbtacks. I don't care if he did or didn't, as long as he's been able to focus and prepare this week. Win or lose, I'm sure he'll be ready to rest up afterward and begin preparation for the next opponent.

Who gives a crap what Andy Reid does after a loss… this board contains too many dudes that a sniveling candy butts
Couple things here.
1) It's about solidarity and leadership. You're the guy in charge. Unless there's a health or family emergency, you should be there with the people you lead, especially after you've all had a collective failure.
2) Andy Reid is one of the winningest coaches in NFL history. Urban Meyer is 0-4 and has appeared unprepared, uninformed, and outmatched on multiple occasions. Regardless, find me any evidence that Reid has ever not been with the team after a loss or had a public scandal on this level.
I'd say Britt Reid is plenty of "scandal"/distraction to be considered here. He's had repeated problems throughout Andy's career.
So if we lose Sunday, you're saying it's because Urbz didn't spend all of last weekend being all-consumed by film study or play design?

I doubt being consumed with film would have helped him much. Dude is clearly a remarkably slow learner.
The thing is that the entire situation points to the fact that the man is either incredibly stupid or simply does not give two [BLEEP]. Each of which is grounds for extreme scrutiny as to whether or not this is the guy to be your head coach. IMO all signs point to not only no, but HELL no.

I'm not criticizing Urban's kid or holding him accountable for his kid's choices.

He didn't own anything, couldn't even meet with all the players at once like a man and say what exactly he did. Seriously I barely knew who Urban was before the season but after he was hired I heard about one mistake after another. I had no idea what his past was other than he coached in college. Man....what a train wreck.

Anyone having watched both videos of Meyer in his own restaurant/bar with 24 year old Cayman Nebraska has to wonder if there was some connection between them before that fateful night. There was a connection. It has been reported that months before Meyer's, ahem, "nether greeting" the video company that employs Cayman Nebraska did some filming in one of Meyer's establishments. Meyer and Nebraska were reportedly present at the time. Did they get to know each other then? Were the videos a recording of the continuation of their friendship? I don't know. Has Meyer reached out to Bobby Petrino and Mike Price? Probably. It wouldn't be a bad idea, especially if Meyer hopes to land a college coaching position after he gets the boot from Jacksonville. He'll need a job after his wife takes him to the cleaners.
Pretty clear crazy Florida man has been drinking and posting to the Jafs forum, just wish you guys would offer something other than Urban hate and football ignorance

Cayman works for a media company, New Horizons Media Group, according to her faceboom page and Nebraska’s now-deleted LinkedIn page. In an article with USAToday, reporters reached out to the New Horizons Media Group company regarding Cayman. This serves as pretty solid reassurance that it’s likely her in the video.
