Wonder wha happens with the London games once we have our new stadium does that continue?
By then the 18th game will be on the schedule so we can recoup the lost game to London by adding the extra one in Duval.

From the article I read in ESPN the Jags can only play 1 London game a year unless specifically instructed by the league. It feels like they are keeping the London game as an option in their pocket.
All this sounds really promising. Seems the city and Khan have come up with a deal that works for both sides and this is a big commitment by the team to the city. No relocation clause should end the constant rumours of leaving.
These are special times guys. So many things moving in the right direction for us.
Hope all the national media morons who snidely commented that the Jags are leaving any day now (cough, La Canfora) are doing ok this morning.

Indeed. The fact that the Jaguars did not ask for the moon, or make demands the city could not possibly meet, makes it obvious that Shad Khan never intended to move the team to another city.
But I doubt the national media morons will admit that they were wrong.

I agree. This went about as smooth as any Stadium deal has gone, thanks to Shad not handcuffing the City, and the City fully understanding how much the Jags mean to Jacksonville.
Headlines: Jags to London in 2055??? Let the rumors fly !!!

Definitely. The fact Khan is paying for any costs due to the project overrunning is big. Can't remember the last time I saw a big project come in on the initial budget and there won't be a big argument over who's responsible.
It's nice to see an owner working with a city rather than trying to hold it to ransom.

Are you five years old with the name calling? Grow up already. Geezus.
On what date is construction actually beginning? And what is the date of the estimated completion of the project?
Work on that and get back to me. Until then, toodle-loo!

moves goalposts
No goalpost moving. There just is a new FG being attempted. I asked for the information provided. And now I am asking for further information.
Be nice to have an estimated completion date wouldn't it? Maybe I am asking for too much. My apology.

Using "Google," and searching "the Internet," I was able to find that information for you.
Construction starts in 2026, and the new stadium opens in 2028.
You're welcome.

If you bothered to do some research on your own then you might look at some of the
local news stations. No specific dates are in place yet.
Quote:The stadium deal will still need a green light from 75% of NFL owners in October.
The team will play the 2025 season at EverBank Stadium as construction begins.
In 2026, the Jaguars said the stadium capacity will be reduced to about 43,500. In 2027, the team will play in an alternate venue that has yet to be decided, and in 2028, the new stadium will open.

It's a renovated stadium, and not "new." But thanks for the google info.
I was kind of looking for exact dates of the start & completion of the project. But I guess you guys are cool with any dates from January to December 2026 & 2028.
Ok, that is all I needed or care about. Another thread I never have to open again.

What part of "no exact dates not set yet" do you not understand from the information given to you (since you're too lazy to look it up yourself)?
You are walking a fine line and falling towards the side that gets rid of you from around here.
