Quote:That's why game tape is the most important evaluation tool.
Do you still want him at 4?
I'll take him at any spot. Combine doesn't erase 3 years or game tape. I have no issue with him or LF7 I just prefer Cook because of his receiving ability.
Quote:That's his comp on NFL.com I agree it is ridiculous. But it's there.

Yeah I seen it, its stupid.  Kizer is Steve McNair
Quote:Cooks a weird one. His film shows he has crazy agility and speed. Numbers not so much.

Wonder is it bad prep or if he just isn't that type of athlete.

Definitely raises some question marks but watching him on tape he outperforms his combine performance regularly.

I don't have an answer as to why he is underperforming, but if it winds up making him slide and we have a shot at him in round 2, I'd be thrilled.

Right now Adams is pretty far ahead of anyone else at 4 for me.

If we could get those 2 in the first two rounds, it'd be a fantastic start to our draft.

I mean, I think people take those too seriously. They're just comparisons in terms of play style and build...Stuff like that.

No one is saying they're the next bo Jackson. (One of the top 3 athletes to ever play in the NFL)

I agree. He is saying a very powerfull back with speed and a elite RB prospect I believe is all he was saying

Yeah exactly. It's important to remain objective. If we don't, we wind up like the people who are freaking out about a 240lb backs vert.... Or player comparison, or not having a great spider chart...

Things like that. Then you get overanalyzing and tunnel vision.

Its hard to find a prospect that you can compare Fournette to.   Hes a rare talent

I'm hopping off the fournette at 4 hype train. Too many good rbs to take one at 4
Quote:Demarco Murray 3x pro bowler

7.28 3 cone.

Devonta Freeman as well. 2x pro bowler

7.11 3 cone

I would say those are the two of the most agile runners in the league right now
Fournette reminds me a bit of Murray, just faster. I'd expect his 3 cone to be slightly better
Quote:I wonder if Feeney will be there with our 2nd pick?
I feel there's a much better than average chance that he is. Lamp looks like he'll go in the 1st, but I doubt any other interior lineman does. If McCaffrey and Lamp are both gone, Feeney would be a very solid choice.
He has some similarities to Jonathan Stewart coming out of college even though he's a couple inches taller and seeks out contact more often.

I'd take a late round flyer on WR Rodney Adams out of USF, he looks legit.

Dorian Johnson could be a good pick in the second or 3rd
Watson does look like the michael jordan of qbs. Draft him Coughlin at 4 and cut Bortles

He's not an ankle breaker in the open field but he just slips out of tackles, he's a pretty good blocker downfield, he's got the speed, and vision when running after the catch. He had 5 rushing TDs this year. He could easily carve out a role as a special teamer early. Has some ball security issues to work on though.
RB 3-cone results...

  1. Christian McCaffrey 6.57 <--that's just sick

Yeah, the knock on McCaffrey is, what exactly?   I can't see any deficiency there.   I don't know why he's so underrated.   I'm judging not so much on Combine results as his actual play, where I see speed, elusiveness, good hands, just about everything you'd want in a modern RB.   He's a great return guy, too.

He's just mysteriously underrated in my opinion.   I can't understand why people would rate him at the bottom of the first round while Dalvin Cook is mocked at the top of the first round.  What is the difference between those two?   I just don't get it.

Watch these highlights of his Rose Bowl game against Iowa and tell me this doesn't absolutely blow your doors off.

Go to the 4:56 mark and check out that move.  Why is this guy so underrated?
