Low enough that he won't be on my team, but he was already there anyway cause of his shoulders so it doesn't particularly change a lot.

For me to go DL at #3, I keep thinking he's got to be JJ Watt, Khalil Mack or at least Ziggy Ansah. So let's compare...

Looking at these numbers, I don't see where he's over-the-top or anything, but he's in the general ballpark here.

3-cone and broad jump are arguably the most important drills there, but combine numbers shouldn't be how we're comparing him.  You draft a guy based on traits and his skillset, not stats or combine numbers.

I'm not exactly sure how this RAS formula is done, but it was retweeted by Joe Goodberry who everyone likes a lot including myself...so I'll trust it is at least decent. Thomas is very much on par with the studs that aren't JJ Watt...because he's the all time GOAT workout.

Its possible Thomas won't even make it to our pick anymore smh.

Solomon Thomas put up similar numbers to Mack and he's 22 pounds heavier.  That's what you have to keep in mind.

 

Anyway, if he's there, Thomas should unquestionably be the pick now sans Myles Garrett somehow making it to the pick.

So the consensus is Thomas now? He's definitely been the guy I've liked the most.

A safety has no where near the impact a pass rusher does on defense.

True, but i feel we will have a much improved pass rush this year with Fowler, Yannick, and Day going in their 2nd full seasons.  If we can add an all pro safety to the mix would be lovely and I feel the 2nd best player in the draft

Seems most likely. FA will tell a lot. If we get a replacement for Cyp then I'd say we're definitely going pass rush over safety. If we end up trading for Richardson and don't fill the SS spot well...

Its highly unlikely but of if the first 3 teams dont like the QBs and the draft falls like this.

Have fun banking on Fowler and Ngakoue taking the next step. It makes much more sense to sign a FA safety and draft a pass rusher at 4.
