Quote:That's cool. Bench press isn't that important. He's an explosive athlete with a lot of great tape. Plus he's gonna run a 4.3 today.
Nah, only tall athletic white guys run 4.3's because they cover a lot of ground with each stride. Ex. Former Razorback and Jaguars, Matt Jones.

Get outta here. McCaffery has way better work ethic than Jones ever had. Dudes gonna be good.
Quote:Can't wait to see all the people jump ship who wanted Fournette or Cook with the 4th overall pick.

So good.

Fournette with the 4.51 at 240. If he was 225 he'd be in the 4.4s easily.
Cook 4.5

Fournette 4.51

For their first attempts.

Cook and Fournette both ran 4.5's. Pass on them Coughlin.

they will get another run - and the official times aren't even out yet.

I think Cook and Fournette could both squeeze into the high 4.4 range

Exactly.  And show me another RB that's 240+ that has ever done better than that.  Get Fournette to cut 10-15 lbs. and he'll be even quicker.
McCaffery with the 4.49.
Expected cook to be a 4.3 guy but knew Fournette would be around 4.5

We should be realistic. If the guy can't motivate himself to cut fifteen pounds heading into the most important event of his life he'll never be able to do it after he gets paid.

The Jaguars shouldn't be looking RB in round one.
These RB's are slow, Jags just better keeping slow Ivory and Yeldon as their starters.
I wouldn't touch any of these rbs in the top 10. Shocked LF came in out of shape

He's not some slob that isn't motivated, that's what he was playing at and was pretty darn fast at that weight.

Is this a serious post?

Just saying you should never sign a guy thinking he'll be motivated to lose weight and run faster.

Still wouldn't go RB in round one regardless of how good anyone thinks he is.
Right now I think Cook should be the clear cut favorite. He showed good strength and decent speed. And he's a versatile running back in the receiving game. In truth though. McCaffrey is the one.

Hard to see him slipping out of the top 10.

I wouldn't change my mind based on what *some* folks believe on a message board.  Pretty sure GMs and scouts won't either.

What makes you think his weight has anything to do with motivation?  He could feel 100% confident that he can be a great player at that weight.  I'm just saying that if he cut weight then he'd easily be in the 4.4s.

Also some coaches are going to have varying opinions on what each player should weigh at for their scheme.  Could be plenty of times that want to keep him at 240.

Agreed.
