Quote:That bench was mighty impressive.it was even tho the bench is kind of an irrelevant drill.
Hes always been powerful, but hes under 6' and 233, so his 40/3cone/Jump drills are gonna be huge to get some indication on how he moves

its not inherently a problem to be under 6 obviously theres a million rbs that have been successful at that height
but if hes 233 and all his drills are slow as molasses then it becomes an issue

Dalvin Cook jumped 30" which isn't good either.
Fournette also decided not to do the broad jump.

<p class="" style="font-size:26px;">I would pull Fournette from speed drills right now tbh... Let him lose the weight and try to impress at pro day.

I'm all aboard the McCaffrey train. Trade back and pick him in the mid to late teens !

Can't wait to see all the people jump ship who wanted Fournette or Cook with the 4th overall pick.
So good.
So good.

Is he explosive? Does he have the next year? What is his work ethic?
Fournette has been compared to AP but AP had a 38.5 vertical jump. All these things are red flags.

That's cool. Bench press isn't that important. He's an explosive athlete with a lot of great tape. Plus he's gonna run a 4.3 today.

absolutely nothing wrong with changing your mind as more and more information comes out.

If those things look bad on tape, then by all means rank him lower, but people just abandoning him strictly on the vertical is foolish.

And FWIW, Cook should be more concerning than Fournette due to their weights.
03-03-2017, 02:13 PM
I'm not saying abandon him. I'm saying trade back and get more picks in a really good, deep draft.
If they love him at 4 then by all means take him cause he's a great prospect.
