Quote:Is David Sharpe a Guard or a Tackle at the next level?

I could see him at LG, RG, or RT.
I thought Fournette was hovering around 6'1" or 6'2" this whole time...

LF needs to run real well

Anything under 4.55/40 would be great for that size.

It would be great but it wouldn't be freakish.

He needs to run in the 4.45 range to be considered a freak at that size.

That would be beyond freakish. With his power and ability to run over people, a 4.55/40 would justify his draft position in my eyes.
Quote:Fournette at 240#... let's see how he runs.

I don't remember what video it was or who it was.  But there was a video of a guy saying Fournette had one of the fastest timed speeds he's seen of any player during a game.  I don't know how he measured it, or how that translates to a 40, but that's what he was saying.
Yeah, I think it was Brett Kollmann that had said that Fournette had the fastest timed speed last year out of college and NFL (although he may have gotten it somewhere else).  Homerun speed at 240 with no fumbling issues, where do I sign up?

I remember the video. Dude ran 22.9mph on a long run. Faster han any RB in college or pros.
Why isn't Joe Mixon invited to the NFL Combine?

Because he punched a girl in the face
D. Watson comes in at 6'2. Good for him.

You know the expected rainfall in inches and barometric pressure of every city that has a stadium in it but you don't know why Mixon isn't invited to the combine? Interesting.
Forrest Lamp threw up 34 reps on the bench press. Would absolutely love if he ended up on the Jags but it's looking very unlikely he will be there in the 2nd round.

A big boy with the name Forrest Lamp was meant to play for Jacksonville.

Everyone knew he was strong, I don't think there's a question there.  If he gets hands on you, you're done.
Running backs doing the bench atm. Perine's going to get 30+

Lamp is a guy to watch.

this is a good message to send. Why even bother pretending to care about your players being garbage humans? just skip that step entirely and let us all know you dont give a [BLEEP] about anybody

<p style="font-family:arial, verdana, helvetica;color:rgb(34,34,33);">INDIANAPOLIS -- The player generating the most buzz with NFL evaluators in Indianapolis this week for the NFL Scouting Combine isn't in this year's draft.

<p style="font-family:arial, verdana, helvetica;color:rgb(34,34,33);">No, that QB -- USC's Sam Darnold -- won't be eligible for the draft until 2018, at the earliest, but he's by far the most talked about player in Indy, an NFL executive told NFL.com analyst Daniel Jeremiah.

<p class="">Text from NFL exec-- biggest talk at Combine, and it's not close--USC QB is rare. (It's tough to ignore him when you're studying other guys)

<p style="font-family:arial, verdana, helvetica;color:rgb(34,34,33);">

<p style="font-family:arial, verdana, helvetica;color:rgb(34,34,33);">It's not surprising given the lack of excitement about the 2017 QB class that NFL teams are more intrigued by a player who won't be available for at least a year.

<p style="font-family:arial, verdana, helvetica;color:rgb(34,34,33);">"This isn't a big surprise," Jeremiah said. "Personnel executives have spent the last month or so watching a ton of tape. When you're studying draft-eligible defenders against USC, (Darnold) jumps off the screen. He only has one year of college playing experience, but he's clearly captured the attention of NFL evaluators."

<p style="font-family:arial, verdana, helvetica;color:rgb(34,34,33);">Darnold became a star in this year's Rose Bowl, where he led the Trojans to a thrilling 52-49 win over Penn State. The redshirt freshman racked up 453 yards and five touchdowns in that game, going 10-for-10 in the fourth quarter as USC came back from a 14-point deficit.

<p style="font-family:arial, verdana, helvetica;color:rgb(34,34,33);">Here's what Jeremiah wrote about him after watching him live in that game: "He has ideal arm strength and athleticism, but the best part about his game is his uncanny poise. He never gets too high or too low during a game and he almost looks bored inside the pocket. When evaluating quarterbacks, poise is the second-most important trait, right behind accuracy. Darnold is one of the most poised signal-callers I've seen in the last few years."

<p style="font-family:arial, verdana, helvetica;color:rgb(34,34,33);">Now, as we all know, much can change in a year. One of the top QBs in this year's draft class, Deshaun Watson, was viewed differently a year ago than he is now. The hype train had already left the station for Darnold after the Rose Bowl, and if he's as good as NFL evaluators believe he is, the buzz will only build throughout the 2017 season.
