Quote:I said a while back that I wouldn't take Adams at 4 because there is a Jamal Adams in every draft. You can find a guy like him nearly every year in the late first/second rounds. I prefer guys with talents that are not common (Malik Hooker). And yeah i know he's an FS, but I don't really care.
Hooker will most definitely end his career with more INTs and PD's
I see Adams ending his career with more FF's, TFL's, Tackles, and viewed as the better value in the end.
Honestly my top two I want for us is:
1.Fournette
2.Adams
Fournette will be amazing for years imo. Leaps and Bounds ahead of Cook and McCaffery. Even on tape. You never see him get caught from behind unlike the other two.
He just breaks away, it's amazing. He looks like a 4.3 back on tape, and as agile as Freddy T.
Quote:Wait a second. A trade down involves a trade partner and good offer? Never would have guessed that. Thanks for the info.
LOL... warning, you're not guaranteed to find logic around here when it comes to someone attacking your post.
Quote:lets collectively stop using the term trade down as if it can be done on demand and doesnt require a trade partner and a good offer.
Let's play this card though. Let's say Tennessee is in trade back talks with someone. Would you take a lesser trade to move back instead of Tennessee acquiring picks?
For instance Tennessee is offered a 2nd to trade, would you undercut them with a 3rd to prevent them from moving?
I think I would

Depends. Who is off the board, how far are we trading back, who are we anticipating being there, etc.

I dont know, depends on whos on the board.
in this scenario couldnt you just take the identical trade that tennessee is being offered? If its a second round pick for pick 4, or a second round pick for pick 5 wouldnt we win that?
Ugh Lattimore hurt his hamstring again today. Such a fantastic player but those hammy's are quite scary.

Given his history, this may put him off our board at 4.

It's still not as scary as the shoulder injuries to me, but I think it might put him behind Hooker's hip/hernia surgery in injury rankings.

Possibly, but not necessarily. They may already be fine doing business at 5 and not really be worried about 4. We might have to do something like that to beat that trade

Yeah, it's not an issue I'd want to fight with for a top 4 pick. Hamstring injuries can tend to linger.
Idk how people think Peppers won't be a phenomenal SS
Adams ran right around Honey Badger and Ha Ha,that's totally fine with me

Because he's not good in coverage
A guy I'm looking at as a late value pick at CB is Fabien Moreau of UCLA. Great technique and patience at the LOS
Who has a better chance of falling to the 2nd round, Peppers or McCaffrey?
Quote:Adams ran right around Honey Badger and Ha Ha,that's totally fine with me
He's not a good as either one of those guys. Small hands and subpar ball skills.

Ugh... Probably McCaffery. But slim for either IMO

I actually think it's Peppers.
Lattimore just said it wasn't his hammy, it was a hip flexor. So if it's minor and not his hamstrings, he's back in play at 4 I think.
