I'm pretty sure Chicago did request an interview with him.

Gus said no OC offer yet.
See Gus lets us know after practice
I hope this isn't as exciting as our off-season is going to get.

Quote:On Greg Olsen, although it isn't saying much Gabbert actually looked OK at times when he was QB coach. Certainly better than under anyone else.

Related to this,  under Greg Olson as a play caller and/ or QB coach,   Joey Harrington actually looked like an NFL starting QB.

Yes he did. Of course per a source and we know how those go.
Quote:Better yet, why didn't the Broncos just hire Gase as their HC when they've had the opportunity to watch him day in and day out as a WR coach, QB coach and coordinator?

Elway keeps making amateur-like moves. Hiring friends and running the team like someone on a message board. Bronco's go into darkness post-manning.

Great point.

John Fox reportedly attempted to interview two other OC candidates but were turned down by their current teams.

Not to mention there is a difference in being qualified for HC vs HC.

I think he was certainly looking for a "yes man", I'm not a big fan of John Fox but he's certainly not a "yes man".

How many times does Caldwell have to say we are going to be big spenders before you stop whining?

Olson is NOT the OC per O'Halloran:  "Gus said no OC offer yet."

Nope when Suh and Demarco Murray come in for a visit it will be very exciting lol

I think you know the answer to that question.
Still want Olsen but as a QB coach
About to head home for the day... great Tuesday for the Jungle!!

I feel good about where the coaching staff is headed

Murray? There's no way the Jags will show any interest in a 28 year old RB coming off a 400 touch season haha. Someone else will overpay for his services.

Gase has a very small resume, and  has only shown he can call one type of offense ... a 1 back, wide open offensive attack with a first ballot HOF QB  slinging the ball around to  WRs like Demaryus Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders and Wes Welker running all over the field.     The Broncos didn't even bother to carry a fullback on the roster this season.   He's not going to have that in Jacksonville, or at any of the other open OC destinations in the NFL.    We've never seen Gase attempt to adjust his offense around an inexperienced or limited QB who needs to be protected and complemented with a power ground game.  He certainly didn't do a very good job of it in the playoffs when Peyton was limited with injury.      If Gase has an offensive mentor, it would be Mike Martz.   Think about why Mike Martz has failed in the NFL.   When Martz  didn't have Kurt Warner throwing to Tory Holt and Isaac Bruce, his "wide open" passing attacks suddenly became reckless and unsound, and he couldn't adapt his offense to best suit  the personnel he had.      Maybe it's not a surprise that two defensive minded new head coaches who worked with Gase in Denver in Fox and Jack Del Rio aren't in any rush to bring in Gase to run their offenses at their new jobs.

Yep, and now we need our Jungle OC to be revealed.

Da Raiders? Especially with their history.

Indianapolis should go after him hard.
